Is a CIT Championship Banner Worthy?

If we win the CIT, is the accomplishment worthy of hanging a banner at the Civic Center in recognition of winning the 4th tourney of a post season?

I wasn't at a game this year to know if we gave ourselves a runner-up banner for the CBI.
 
I think a badge sort of thing like they have for the other tournaments is appropriate-- unless the CI.com tourney becomes "bigger."
 
Hmmmm.... I would consider winning the CIT or CBI like winning the Maui Classic. So if someone thinks the Maui Classic Championship deserves a banner, then they will think this one will as well.

Hey I actually agree with Murph on this one. I'd say no. I'm glad we are playing in it. But it is no great accomplishment to win it.
 
I agree with the consensus, let's just hope that when we win, someone at the PCC or in the Athletic Dept doesn't think otherwise.

I agree, NO. I think putting the trophy in the new field house is appropriate. Leave the banners for major accomplishments:!: No matter if we win or not I am happy for this team and coachs, that could of folded but didn't and and did not use any excuses along the way.

I didnt get to make it to a BU game this season in Peoria. Is there anything on any banner regarding the CBI from last season?

I dont have a problem with a banner if we win this tourney. I think there is something about the Sugar bowl and the one tourney where it was a one time shot years ago.

Regardless of how anyone feels about this tourney it is part of BU history and part of the programs post season history so a win and an appearance deserve some recognition and a win I beleive deserves a banner.

And honestly I think this and the CBI are garbage but they both are post season appearances.
 
Houston--yes. There is a basketball-shaped badge that honors BU's appearance in the "2008 Collegiate Basketball Invitational"

There is a similar thing for the Commissioner's Classic.

My guess is they might correct the typo and put the CBI and CIT on the same one, unless we do indeed win. Then maybe the put the CC and CBI on the same one.
 
I think that all of the teams we have played in the tourney have been quality opponents. I think it is worthy to have something in the arena that notes our participation in the tourney. As some have said, this could be done with a small badge next to the CBI and Commissioner Classic...etc.
 
I can't remember but did Tulsa do any cutting down of the nets type of deal last year. That may be a stupid question, but I'm just wondering. I'm also hoping to God we don't do anything of the sort.

IF we win that is....
