And no. I don't. But if you started doing that here, I'd probably have to start...

Until today, I had not made an update in 6 months on mine. I just started following people for updates recently, like the PTI show from ESPN.
 
Could someone explain Twitter to me?

I feel ashamed that I am not really sure how it works... I am apart of the facebook generation (it was available at ISU my sophomore year). I never did myspace because all of my friends were on facebook.

What is the point of twitter? With facebook/myspace you can post pictures of yourself and others, communicate via private messages/public messages, post schooling/job information about yourself, etc., etc... You have a public (or private if you prefer) profile for others to view.

None of the seems possible with Twitter... it just seems like you post something about what you are currently doing(i.e, RedbirdFan21 is: bored at work). What is the point?

What exactly is "receiving a tweet???"

I agree. I tried it a year or so ago when it first got big and was constantly annoyed at the ridiculous, pointless "tweets" others who I subscribed to would make. What a waste of time. However, if BF went onto Twitter, I would probably subscribe just because of the capability of real time updates from the mods.
 
Twitter is useful for certain things. I don't really follow people, but news organizations, market info, breaking sports news, and of course Darth Vader and Cobra Commander. If BUfans.com started to twitter I would follow them.
