The Division I Legislative Council will vote on it when the group meets April 20 in Indianapolis.

They will also vote on one basketball proposal...
"...which would change the date by which a men??™s basketball student-athlete
must remove his name from the draft list to remain eligible to the day before
the spring National Letter of Intent signing period. Proposal No. 2008-79-1
would change the date to May 8. Currently, student-athletes have until 30
days after the professional draft to declare their intention to return."

will they allow participants to wear skimpy "uniforms"?

Women's sand volleyball isn't a bad idea actually. Besides the obvious.....:) there's also Title IX to think about, and the addition of a women's sport to help balance things out further, perhaps prevent a few random men's sports from having to fold, might help.

what season will they want to play....
they couldn't play in the summer when school is out, so they'd have only spring, fall, and winter, and most of the country can be pretty cold during those months.
Or would they try to do it indoors?

It would basically have to be confined to the southern schools and California-area.

And because of that, it may not be practical to add the sport.

They could do a quick April/May/early June shortened season though.
