Center Kenton Walker leaves Creighton

Actually, Dana Altman is a very rigid coach, and there has been a fairly consistent amount of turnover at Creighton throughout his years there.
Walker is too good to remain a backup for his whole career, which is what Altman had apparently determined he was, behind Kenny Lawrence (also a sophomore). And apparently, Altman is not willing to play them at the same time.

What is happening in Omaha? Nothing unusual I don't think.

I think this is more of a reflection of the landscape of college basketball today. No programs are immune to kids leaving no matter how good the school, program or coach. This really hurts them and the Valley a lot. I do not like seeing this stuff. Creighton has been our most consistent program and Altman our best coach. If it can happen to him, it can happen to anyone.

Ha Dan, didn't Dana leave the ship and then back stroked back:doubt: I agree with you on all you have said here about not liking players jumping and how it does hurt the Valley. The term long term commitment is just about a thing of the past:!:

It"s Kenny Lawson but the reason I heard was Walker was not happy with the preferential treatment that P"Allen Stinnet receives compared to the rest of the team.
