I have listed as options the most well known places, but feel free to "write in" your choice....

Agatucci's has been a favorite for decades, but I hear they have fallen off a bit....not the quality, just less favor in the eyes of the younger crowd
Avanti's and Bellacino's obviously have the right locale to remain popular with the folks on campus
Domino's, Monical's and the other places that deliver has an advantage and among those guys, I really love Monical's

Davis Brothers in East Peoria has fallen in popularity, and I find that a lot of the college kids don't even know about them.

But...my single favorite pizza is from a place a lot of the BU students might not know about.
I love the Brick Oven (now, due to a name change it's called the Red Rock Bar & Grill)
Bill Ingold started the Brick Oven on the square in Washington then opened another one on Detroit St. in Morton...
Recently they decided to go after a larger "fan base" than just those seeking pizza, so they changed their motif and renamed the place
the Red Rock Bar & Grill, and are now a combo sports bar & grill with a broad menu of steaks & sandwiches, and pizza place.
But they cook their pizzas in an authentic brick over and do a really great job. Only the Morton restaurant is open presently
but anyone who's never tried it ought to get out to Morton and give them a chance. They also do carry out........tell 'em I said HI...

agatucci's is the most overrated pizza in Peoria.

I heard so many good things about it, then i got it and was SEVERELY disappointed

I marked Avantis there.. Honorable mention to the place now located where Fedora's and Nick's were-- with the huge pizzas. Always forget the name. Also Hoops should be on the list, I think, but I like the other two better.

I'm not voting for the chains here on principle (really like Bellacino's for example), but truth is, I love Pizza Hut in the same way I love McDonalds. I'm not sure it's good, but for whatever reason I like it for what it is. Papa John's was the delivery pizza of choice when I was on campus because it was cheap and quick and delivered to some ridiculous hour.

Bellacino's has good pizza. It kinda reminds me of Lucca's in B/N, which is one of my favorites!

Honorable mention goes to Oliver's in Peoria Heights and Monical's.

No doubts in my mind Tyronis in Bartonville is the best in the Peoria area.

Blaney Castle in Chilli is second.

All of you in Peoria need to feel very good about your pizza choices. There are like 4 here in Houston and all suck.

Btw, anyone tried Mickey's? It's over in Westlake across from where the theatre used to be. Not sure if it's a chain or not, but I had a good pizza there.

Leonardo's deep dish is my favorite

I do really enjoy a Monacles thin crust (but you have to eat it in restaurant, thin gets bad too quickly for carry-out) and occasionally crave an Avanti's..

I think Mickeys is a spin-off of Davis Bro's or 3 Fat Guys

IMHO the only good "pizza" at Pizza Hut is the Mexican pizza, but "Mexican" is not really pizza, which amplifies my point that Pizza Hut is not really pizza

I voted for Agatucci's but I am also a big fan of Tyroni's and Blarney Castle as well.

I have not been to their Morton restaurant, but I really liked their pizza when they owned the Brick Oven in Washington.

I voted Monicals. Another one I used to love when I lived nearby was Pegasus in Morton. I can't even say if they are still there, I haven't been there in probably 2-3 years.

By the way-Carry out only, no seating.

I voted for Monicals but that is only when I am here at school. When I am at home in the Chicago area, I gotta go with Aurelio's (I think the closest one to here is in Macomb) and after that Tree Guys Pizza in Itasca, IL.

I've got to go with Agatucci's:) We used to drive down for a game and always left a couple hours early so we could go there first, then the game and then back home by midnight. Great pizza and the drafts were 25 cents!

Looking forward to a great season:)
