Any Sean Harris updates ?

I would suppose the BU coaching staff keeps in contact with SH in some form and was wondering how he is doing while on his mission work. Since he has not signed a LOI yet, I do not know if JL can even talk about him. One question that comes to mind is will SH be RS after a two yr. absence from playing any competitive ball ?

I think the mission exhausts his redshirt year-- and another greyshirt year (granted because of the religious nature of his time away from basketball)... I could be wrong about that though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Sean play at a Juco, so that is why he'll only have 3 years of eligibility left

The NCAA allows all athletes 2 full years off for military, Peace Corps, or church service without penalty and without exhausting any eligibility at all.
Any such athlete still has a redshirt year, although Harris, when he returns, will have already used one year of his four years of athletic eligibility by playing his freshman season at Yuba College (junior college). Thus he will have four years left to complete three years of play.

Fansince69 -- it sounds like it WOULD be possible, technically, to have Sean Harris take a redshirt year upon his return. We can all speculate, but no one knows for sure until around 18 months from now. I just hope he's getting a chance to work out and play some pick-up games. And then is ready to hit it hard when he gets back!

Gotta love a fellow redhead!
