Which D-I college coach has had the fewest players whom he has coached,
get drafted in the NBA Draft over the last five years?

-Anthony Grant
-Jim Les
-Mike Davis
-Bruce Pearl
-Tom Crean
-Bo Ryan
-Billy Donovan
-Jerry Wainwright
-Bruce Weber
-Ritchie McKay

see if anyone can come up with the answer....

My guess would be Bruce Pearl. I cannot think of any Tennessee players who were drafted in the past 5 years...unless maybe Chris Loften was a late 2nd rounder?

I can name at least one player for each of the other coaches.

Maybe I should have made it even harder and put Jim Molinari and Larry Eustachy on there!
No player ever from Southern Indiana nor UW-M has ever been drafted, and none that Pearl has ever coached, going into his 5th year at Tennessee.
He might break that streak, however, as Tyler Smith is likely to get drafted next year!

Everyone else on that list has had at least ONE player drafted, and many (like Jim Les) have had two or more!

Hey--- try one more trivia question...should be really EASY...

Who has won MORE games in his first SEVEN seasons as a D-I head coach??
Jim Les, Mike Krzyzewski, or Dana Altman??
Mouse over the next line to see the answer...
Les is 126-105 in his first seven years, Coach K was 100-89 in his first 7 years, and Dana was 104-101 in his first 7 years as a head coach.
Jim Les also has only 3 fewer wins in his first seven years as Bill Self had in his first seven years, and seven MORE in his first seven years than Bob Knight had in his first seven years!

last question...who leads in career rebounds??
Dinma Odiakosa, who is about to start his 5th year at ISU, or Theron Wilson, who played just two years at Bradley?
Again...mouse over to read...
Answer -- Theron Wilson had 492 rebounds in his two-year career,
Dinma Odiakosa currently has 486 career rebounds.

Chris Lowery only needs what as a record over his next 2 years to equal Jim Les's record? Please mouse over for answer.
Chris Lowery only needs to go 17-47 over the next 2 years to equal the record of Jim Les

:):):):):):):):):)

Chris Lowery is a good coach and has so far done commendably in his years as a Valley head coach...
but ....he didn't get hired and come in to replace a coach who was fired for not winning...
do we also want to draw a graph showing the degeneration yearly in wins as correlated with the loss of his predecessor's players?
Once Jim Les had all his own players and coaching staff, he's done nothing but win 21 games every year, while CLo's record seems to get worse the more he has his own players and assistants...

At this rate... good luck! ;)

I was making a small joke as I believe that both coaches are incredibly overrated. CL has not yet shown the ability to win without Jamal Tatum and JL can't finish better than 4th in the Valley.

I would guess that he is counting the handful of games that Danny Granger played as a Brave with Jim Les as a coach.

fourteen is more than a handful, but he fits the defined criteria....and most - if not all - of Bruce Weber's NBA'ers were one-and-done and inherited from the predecessor as well.

Not even a half a season, Not even listed as one of the great 38 players nor does he belong there:!:
T, I hope you are not for real on this issue and your just pushing buttons:roll:

I hope you're not going to try and give Jim les credit for recruiting these NBA players...

Not that I care to enter this discussion, but Jim Les was responsible for recruiting and getting Patrick O'Bryant to commit.
I know the details quite accurately...Coach Al Biancalana played a big part, and had recruited POB even back when Coach Mo was still here, but Coach Les was responsible for pulling the trigger on him, and did play a big part in getting the commitment from POB and his family.

What other D1 schools offered Patrick a schoolie?
