Potential Bulls Trade?

Houston would do this because they need to clear some space on their roster and Ariza and Battier essentially do the samething at the same position. I have no clue why they also want to include Landry but he did get shot last year in the leg and he never returned, atleast last season, to who he was before he got shot.

Boozer is about one thing and that is money. He is soft, extremely injury prone and I personally do not think he plays hard nightly. And I have said this previously but he is NOT an upgrade from Thomas. He is just older, with more miles on his legs and less athletic with zero higher ceiling... I know some do not consider a players ceiling but Boozers has been hit and he is playing below that ceiling currently.

I agree....the Bulls want to make a run at Bosh/Wade but what happens if they DON'T get either. They have thinned themselves at guard losing Hinrichs and Gordon...lose Tyrus and have an aging, injury proned Boozer that will need to be resigned.

Boozer is an expiring contract which would help them clear cap room and get Bosh in 2010...

Nacho,
Not that familiar with NBA trade and cap rules... Is it possible for the Bulls to get him for exactly that purpose, but for him to block the trade somehow? Otherwise, what you're saying makes sense, since Hinrich, for example, has two years left. Not sure about Thomas... can't remember if he has one or two years left.

I understand that but my POINT is what IF they don't get him (or Wade). Just becuase they have Boozer and his expiring contract it doesn't mean either is a lock to come to the Bulls.

They won't be the only teams pursuing them.

So it gets back to my point...you've traded Hinrich, Thomas and lost Gordaon to FA. You don't get either of the two FA's you covet and alls you have is an aging injury prone Boozer that will need to be re-signed.

I really hope the Bulls do not trade Tyrus. He came out of school early for the money. If he had stayed in school, this last season would have been his senior year in college, he left college after his freshman year. He can really jump and could get much better. It just makes me think of when the Cubs made the mistake of trading Lou Brock away and then he turned out to be in the Hall of Fame. I'm not saying Tyrus would do that but just hoping we keep him. Wish the Bulls had the rights to POB. We'd really have a big young team with the two big guys we drafted this year.
