Cubs fan throws beer on Phillies centerfielder Victorino

This is one of the most disgusting examples of fan behavior. The Cubs were blown out by the Phillies last night 12-5.
One a 5th inning play, Victorino caught a deep fly near the laft-center field wall, and as he caught the ball, a front-row Cubs fan threw a glass of beer down into his face.

What is unfortunate, the security men immediately remove a fan, but the guy they ejected was the wrong guy. The man who threw the beer is in a white tee shirt with sun glasses hooked to his collar, but the fan ejected is a shorter guy with a Cubs jersey who was 2 seats to the left of the real offender.

Cubs fans are known for littering the field when things don't go their way! Guess it doesn't matter if there's an opposing player there or not.

reminds me of this play from 1959...

this is from the 1959 World Series when the Dodgers' Charley Neal homers,
and ChiSox left fielder Al Smith was inadvertently doused with beer.

Big difference here. The Phillie player was in the process of catching the ball. He could have been distracted and hit in the face or head. Disgusting. I guess the phrase bleacher bums is correct.
