Hope they GAVE those T's away and didn't sell em....:)

I wonder if the knee acted up again. I see he did not play.

Will was slated to start last night, but in pregame warmups, he felt a twinge and some pain, so they sat him out as a precaution. I would be surprised if he didn't stay out the rest of the trip.

Twinge and pain on a repaired ACL... not good. I blew mine out 4 times - 3 surgeries and lots of rehab. I sure hope it is just an aberration, but those things should not happen at this point. I feel like these are the Bradley Cubs... Everyday a new injury.

Twinge and pain equals 5-10 minutes a game if he's lucky for this season. Probably try more rehab i'm sure before the season starts. Hopefully they won't procastinate with this injury and get an MRI/specialist visit out of the way early.

I heard there was a report on one of the local TV sports reports about Will and his knee's progress....
I did not see it, did anyone else catch it?

I first heard it yesterday around 5:00 pm on WMBD 1470 and then later on WEEK 25 that Will underwent successful knee surgery (I believe his repaired knee) to remove scar tissue and should be 100% by the start of practice in October.

Wow....I sure hope WE is available to go `100% this season....center is the only position I worry about...good luck to Will on getting back to playing!

I'm not an expert on this but I always thought that internal scar tissue adhesion's were to be expected after surgery and they would be broken apart through normal athletic activity which could have caused the swelling in Brazil. I'm thinking of a football player afraid to cut on his repaired knee and feels a pop but all it is is the adhesion's separating. Doesn't a new surgery also create scar tissue adhesion's?

I don't believe reports on injuries and return dates as they are almost always wrong. At this point, I see another season with two of our top players a big question mark.

We need an unexpected major increase in someone's production that nobody sees coming. A dominant player that comes out of the pack. Something like what Jerome Robinson did years back. Otherwise, BU will just have another mediocre season and we will be looking toward next year with hopes on Wilkins (a player who cannot even formally commit yet with a LOI). That's one of those "I will believe it when I see him on campus in class" situations.

Being a BU fan feels so much like being a Cub fan... You BU fans who are Cardinal baseball fans are pretty darn smart.

Will smugly posted this on his personal "networking" site..
"lol - People doubtin my knee like I'm some old man... smh, cant wait for season!"

for us oldsters who wouldn't have a clue what is meant by "smh" ...
it says in effect this this idea (of doubting Will's knee) is
"so stupid, no words can do it justice"
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=smh

I think Will's gonna be just fine

btw- AW has said this...
"lets go!!! im feelin good for this weekend foot is healin good which is a good sign"

I hope you are right. However, being around college kids for the last 14 or so years I have heard a lot more talk than I've seen action. I'm glad they have a positive attitude... That's an important step.

I'm just a cynic after all these years of hearing good news that turns out good only about 10% of the time... I've also had more than one ACL surgery and am aware of the recovery time, and have known someone (Tony Bennett - UWGB) who's career was ended from a foot stress facture. Just using my experience to help me prepare for the future. That's all I have to draw on, and last year I was dead-on with my AW prediction while most others were sky high with hopes of his return. I wish I would have been wrong.

Seeing is believing. We will see, and we will have a great year if these two kids are really healthy and ready to play from day one as advertised. I hope for the best, while preparing myself for the worst. I guess it's just years of training from being a Cub fan, which is in doubt if the new owner keeps that moron Jim Hendry. I may be looking for another team after 40 years. Change is good... right?

I am in your camp GTD. I hope we are both proven wrong. I also agree that being a Bears and Cubs fan probably has made us this way;)

I do wish the best for Will. I hate to see any players injured. This is a similar injury to what Mantas Griskenas had his first season with the Shox out of Juco. Needless to say, he never saw much court time the remaining 1 1/2 years after he injured his knee. I hope Egolf has a much better recovery, but a knee injury is ALWAYS serious stuff.

There were times where Mantas felt he was about 100% and was quoted as saying so. But when it came to game time...he just always had some pain and wasn't as mobile which basically ended his career.

I don't know the extent of Egolf's injury, but Mantas tore both his ACL and MCL....so his may have been a bigger injury. Regardless...here is to a full recovery!

Don't forget Bears at Denver tonight @ 7:00 CST, National TV, Sunday Night Football. Cutler goes back to where he came from so it should be very entertaining to see the fan reaction. The third of four exhibitions most approximates a regular season game since the starters go about 3 quarters, the fourth game they don't play so much. Go Bears:)
