2009-2010 media guide

Many schools are moving away from publishing a printed media guide for men's and women's basketball. It is very costly, and cannot be edited once they are printed. A lot of schools are now posting their media guides on their websites, and allowing free downloads to anyone. They still will print out copies of relevant material for distribution to media members before games, but the days of the glossy covered media guides are dwindling.

Bradley has always printed a high quality media guide that were comparable to some of the best in the country.
What would be the Bradley fans' opinions if Bradley decided to do away with the printed media guides, and go along with this trend?

Would be okay with me. I liked the one I got with Braves Club membership last year, but there's really no reason that that information couldn't be published to the wesbite-- in fact I think it already is. Though, if they were going to make it web-based they should takes some steps to take full advantage of the medium, rather than making it just a scanned version of the publication. Also I think you could pair an online edition with a published every-few years book for collectors (if the market exists). So, for example, a volume published for 2000-2004 scrap book kind of thing with a lot pictures and stories and stats.

I'd guess that they should offer an iron-clad guarantee that all past versions (at least all past online versions) will always remain online..

I think Bu should keep the hard copy issue, I also would like to see them put all the opposing teams rosters in it.

I really like the Media Guide and would miss the hard-copy if they stopped making it! I have the last 10 years together on a bookself and hope to add this seasons to the colection!

I have been collecting them for 27 years, so I sure hope they keep making hardcopies so I can keep the keepsake collection going :-)

I would be ok with this. I also like the idea of publishing a hard copy every four years as mentioned above. If the decision is made to go with an online guide, then I would like BU to incorporate a more detailed look at the history of the program.

What if it was just online, but offered the option to purchase (inexpensively) a hard copy?

That way, everyone has access to it, and can print it. But then for those who have collections they can spend $10 or $15 to get an official-bound version!
