Eddren McCain Article

Nice article. I hope he succeeds to his standard then this year. That'd be actually kind of scary it seems since I thought he played well for us last year.

WOW.....Good read, EM really let it go in the paper and I hope he got it off his back! College should be fun and maybe this year success will help him enjoy the college experience more!

I talked with Eddren at the Tailgate and also sensed an incredibly strong determination to be better and work hard.

BTW-- BU has had a number of fine point guards...here are some comparative stats for the freshman season...all the others are 1000-pt club members and great BU PG's
If anyone has the other stats I have omitted, let me know...

Eddren McCain- 36 games, 901 minutes, 200 pts, 111 assists, 5.6 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 3.1 apg
Bobby Humbles- 26 games, ..................216 pts, .................8.3 ppg
Rob Dye------- 29 games, ...................89 pts, ..................3.1 ppg
Jim Les-------- 27 games, 800 min.........193 pts, 159 assists, 6.0 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 5.8 apg (frosh season was at Cleveland State)
Anthony Manuel-23 games.....................41 pts, ..................1.8 ppg
Daniel Ruffin--- 28 games, ...................176 pts, 132 assists, 6.3 ppg, 3.0 rpg, 4.7 apg
(Ruffin redshirted his first year at BU so these are his stats for his 2nd year)

That's one  Halloween pumpkin you've got there Big Mike. I hope the Bears get it done today. I kept saying to a friend that I was watching the game with last week that Halas or Ditka would have run 3 QB sneaks in a row, Ditka learned that from Halas - was a tough game to watch.

There were several games I watched last season where I thought EM and SM looked like they'd make a couple good college halfbacks. I like watching them play, they can cut, find the seam and really get up the court quick.

Everyone remember that I was the first to say BU would win the MVC this year. I am willing to take my beating if it doesnt happen but I want the credit when it does!!!!! I think they have the talent and the leadership to make it happen.

I'm hoping that EM attempts to pass the ball down to the post more this season. I don't know if it was Singh and Collins but I thought EM should of passed it down more.

Jason

He needs to be commended for honoring his committment and coming to BU as he went thru an awful lot of tragedy before arriving here, most young people would not have done this as he is so far away from home, he may not have done as well offensively as he would have liked, but his defense was very good and outstanding for a freshman, the job he did on Dillard in the tour. was incredible, keep up the hard work and you will be rewarded.

When you look at the returning talent there should be no reason for BU to finsish out of the top 3 if all stay relatively healthy. I don't think your prediction is that far fetched. I, too, can see that happening. :)

If EM can hit that top of the key shot watch out MVC! The question will be how do you stop him?

Let's face it he sounds extremely mature, I just hope he stops smells the roses occasionally. I also thought he gave us a ton last year!

Yeah, I really don't understand the 6th and 7th place projections. Assuming we are healthy, we should be much better than last year. Aside from getting AW and WE back, and whatever contribution we get from the freshman, I expect EM, TB, and CR (and possibly others) to all be significantly improved. I think the Valley as a whole will also be better, but if we are not at least top 3, I will be very disappointed.
