Syracuse upset by DII Lemoyne

First of all - I'm laughing at crybaby Boeheim.

2ndly - the DOLPHINS of Le Moyne (a cross-town rival maybe). I want some of that unique gear... oh wait, Jacksonville is the Dolphins too... why don't I see more of that unique mascot gear?

3rdly - should somebody at Syracuse be looking long and hard at the direction of the program. DivI athletes got beat by players who couldn't or didn't get DivI schollies. What an outrage!

Yep! That's downright embarassing. I don't blame Boeheim for skipping the presser. He'd have probably said something he regrets. I know if I was a Syracuse fan I would be PO'ed at the coach and the players..... Unacceptable!

Just tweekin' ya B4L. ;)

I can picture whiny Boeheim's face... mouth open - jaw dropped... arms open... whiny/complaining look towards the refs. LOL!

Seeing Wes Johnson score 34 and lose gives me a good feeling. Had he stayed at ISU, we would have had a solid team last year and a great team this year. Now that he bailed and went to Syracuse, I have a tough time wishing well for him.

Just like Platteville last year these types of games are much more important and intense for the non D1 team then a team like Syracuse. Yes Syracuse should have beaten LeMoyne but they have been practicing for 3 weeks while I will guess LeMoyne has been practicing together much longer.

Syracuse has had a habit of losing early season games. Not sure what that says about the program other then they seem to not be ready to play teams they view as inferior early. That likely is on the coaching staff. But that staff has been there a long time and won alot.

It is only an EXHIBITION. Syracuse will still start their season 0-0!

I guess the consensus seems to be that exhibitions are kind of like the circus? For amusement only? Maybe they should just declare all exhibitions a tie so that nobody's wittle feelings get hurt. Then, they could brainwash the players, coaches, and fans in attendance and erase all that just happened...... since it never really mattered anyway.

Another Good One by my friend B4L:biggrin:

I say play to WIN, Just Win or leave the jock's hang and play chalkboard ball;-)

Of course you go out to win every single game. I know I do, even at the local Y but give me a break if you think these games are played at an intensity level at which the real games are played. I'd say the D-II school probably comes in at a high level of intensity and the D-I school players by the time they realize it can't put those guys away. The D-II players can play otherwise they would not be playing. They usually are a bit slower and smaller but besides that they have talent so if you are not ready to play them they can win!

I feel better now that you told us that you believe in playing to win:!::biggrin: As for playing this game with all the intensity of a Div 1, I would think we would as 5 days after this game we open the season on the road at BYU:!:
Got any film of you at the Y:doubt: I need to see how good you are before I ask you to play a pick-up game:lol: I'm old but I still play with intensity just not as high on the scale as it once was:oops: But I still have a shot:biggrin: You take care friend:biggrin:

I didn't see this posted anywhere else, but Isaiah Thomas lost his FIU coaching debut to Northwood, and NAIA school coached by Rollie Massimino. The score was 71-61.

that is pretty weird...as Isiah was said to have recruited pretty well...and surely was expected to do better than to lose by double digits to an incredibly obscure DII, Northwood.

this does not bode well for FIU, whose next game is the big one against North Carolina that Isiah threatened to boycott and not show up, as he was afraid to play them...

The comments after this article are priceless. I particularly liked this one: Thomas further commented, "I've been on the losing side for a while now - the CBA, the Knicks, sexual harassers - and I felt it was time I finally got back on the winning side. Cancer is undefeated so far, so I think joining that side will benefit my career."
