MVC games today, Sunday 11/15

SIUE has not looked good so far..losing big to UIUC and even losing an exhibition game to Illinois College.

FDU has also not looked too strong - losing 84-61 to Nova
FDU lists DeShawn Dockery as a freshman on their roster...Dockery is cousin to Shawn Dockery, ex-IL prep star and Duke star.
DeShawn went to school in Lansing and Hillcrest, IL.
DeShawn played on the same high school team at Hillcrest as ISU's Kellen Thornton. (also BU recruit Darren Tillman)

even if we stack up wins, we aren't going to get more than 2,
but the Valley should go 3-0 today and even up a bit....unless OE's boys have a meltdown

I meant the rest of the Pre-Valley season, not just today. I hope ISU goes undefeated in the pre-season even though it will bring out people that think they are a top ten team when that happens. It is still good for the Valley to have everyone do well in the preseason.

The Shox should handle FDU even without Hannah. Although they did hang with Villanova for about 22 minutes and were even beating them at halftime. I personally think that had more to do with Villanova then it did FDU....but who knows. I'm also interested by the fact they had 1 guy get 6 blocks against Villanova....

seriously...most teams who go 9-0 or 10-0 and certainly 14-0 and better would be in the top 10 if they played anyone...

and the best can be said about ISU with their schedule last year that some uninformed voters were giving them some votes...but very few

once they lost to BU they fell off the map and almost nobody gave them votes.

Agreed T, as much as the ISU fans want to say they were good there's nothing to back that up. The first even close road game they played, they lost. Then proceeded to get third in a down MVC (better than BU, not my point ISU fans), if you go undefeated non-con, and you're an MVC team and you're not ranked, something is very wrong with what you're doing.

Just being technical here, but this isn't exactly true. We won 3 close road games, (2 that came down to the wire), before you guys beat us in Peoria. (@Wright St, @CMU, @Mo St).

I agree with the other point in this thread though...we were 14-0 and unranked, due to our lack of a decent schedule. Had we played anyone, we may have gotten enough votes to get in. But oh well, that was last year lol.
