Oklahoma State is coached by Travis Ford in his second season at OSU. He is formerly the coach at UMass and Eastern Kentucky. One of his assistant coaches is Steve Middleton, a former player for SIU.

They are lead by James Anderson, a 6'6" junior guard who is on some preseason All-American lists. He is expected to be a lottery pick in next summer's NBA draft. He is currently averaging 23.0 ppg.
They are not great 3-point shooters. As a team, Oklahoma State is shooting just 27.8% from three for the year (25-90), one of the worst percentages in the country. Only 2 players, Anderson (started all 4 games, 8-24, 33.3%), and 5'9" sophomore guard Keiton Page (started 2 of their 4 games, 12-29, 41.4%) have shot over 20% on threes. But they are a good rebounding team and have 4 players averaging 6 or more rebounds per game lead by 6'7" 240 lb. junior forward Moses Marshall (a starter all 4 games) at 10.8 rpg, and Anderson at 9.0 rpg.
They have suffled their starting lineup around a little.
Other starters include 6'5" senior guard Obi Muonelo (started all 4 games, 11.5 ppg and 7.0 rpg), 5'9 freshman Ray Penn (started 3 games, 7.8 ppg), and junior Matt Pilgrim (a transfer from Kentucky who has started 2 games, 9.3 ppg, 6.0 rpg), and freshman Fred Gulley (started 1 game, averages 2.5 ppg).

Despite winning all 4 of their games by wide margins, their play has been described as sloppy, so far.-

Cowboys coach not surprised by sloppiness-

Interesting... Doesn't seem like they're that "big," in the frontcourt, with only three guys logging minutes listed as forwards, at 6-5, 6-7, and 6-8. They do have two big guards, Anderson at 6-6, and Obi Muonelo at 6-5. They also have two microguards at 5-9 that 28 and 31 minutes per game. Despite the size it looks like they definitely get after it on the boards with the 6-7 forward pulling down 11/g so far, and Anderson with 9/g.

Interestingly, looking at the numbers, it seems like the small guards aren't playing at the point-- or at least aren't getting a huge number of assists.

Based on minutes played, looks like this is a 4-guard team, with those three listed forwards pulling down just 54 mpg... but Anderson getting all those rebounds he may be playing a pretty straight up slasher small forward type of role.

Anyone seen them play?

They can't shoot, and they bang the glass. Reminds me of some of the DePaul teams we played a few years ago. As long as we hold serve on the glass and inside, we should be able to win. WE and TB staying out of foul trouble is absolutely imperative. We will NOT be able to get away with playing AW or CR at the 4 spot against OK St.

This game looks winnable for you guys. They have played some fluff teams at home thus far. Hopefully you can catch them off guard, get an early lead and not let up.

I'm sure the team will be extra hungry for a crack at Illinois. Wofford was hanging with them for most of the game last night until foul trouble killed them.

You think Sticks would be able to contribute with his length down low, or are these guys too strong inside?

I got a laugh in the interview after the game...Coach Buescher misspoke when referring to "Sticks" and called him "Needles".
Maybe that'll start a new trend and Coach Bish can start picking the nicknames instead of Ronnie.

Sure wish we had Dodie to guard Anderson. Anderson is a mis match for us, as are their other big guards.
Also, SM has a bad ankle/foot. He will not be 100%
Taylor Brown and Chris Roberts will have to come up big for us to be in this game.

Ok.St. always seems to have the 6-6 6-7 players that are long and can really go to the boards, Anderson needs to be contained and I would also bet C.Roberts will start out guarding him, we need to make a good % of our 3 point shots and stay out of foul trouble in order to win this game.

I agree with all and will add one more thing. We need to hit the bunnies! This game can be decided by a handful of points and I can count too many times we missed an easy layup.

So, the hoopstv video stream is good enough to broadcast on a big screen at these places? Heh. Or are we going to see a pixelated mess and wondering which one is Sam Maniscalco or Andrew Warren?

Here's hoping Milos is encouraged by returning to Las Vegas for his mom's home cooking and goes off for another double-digit performance.

As with any large projection screen, the video with probably be slightly distorted or slightly blurry. Well, unless your watching a movie at the cinemas lol.

Is there some place on the internet to get the game tonight?

The tournament's sponsor HoopTV will offer the games on the internet live at www.hooptv.net

However, there appear to be server issues right now since the website is slow or not appearing for me. Must be doing something prior to the tournament start or the thousands of Bradley fans are slowing the website down. :)
