Osiris vs Parker

I can't believe you're even serious. AP or OE? I don't even think it's close (and I even took off my rose colored glasses).

I'll take one of the greatest players on the world stage over the past decade. Not some unproven (on the pro stage) egotist whom calls himself King.

I though it was a rhetorical question... haha ;)

BTW, thats a vote for AP.

OE will not play in the league. AP has a pro career that may lead into his 40's which will end in the NBA. AP was a 1st round pick, won a league title, and played in the NCAA's. Why are we talking about this?

I'm talking strictly as college players.....I just always wondered what people thought of OE and his "place" in MVC history.

He is considered the best player in the MVC right now and I just wanted to compare him to past bests....

The best player in the league right now is not on ISU.

Put my vote down for AP

See...its not so hard. Pick one and vote. Thanks.

My goal, like I stated, was just to guage what some thought OE's place in MVC history was. I could have used multiple players from BU OR the MVC but just picked AP.

I guess it can get skewed a bit since AP has gone on to a great Pro career but I hoped people would just look at his college days.

Anthony Parker was MVC POY as a junior. Osiris Eldridge has never been POY (except in preseason polls).
AP lead BU to the Conference title his junior year, and a berth in the NCAA. Osiris and the Redbirds have never won anything yet, and have yet to appear in an NCAA tournament.
AP was injured his senior season, and that kept him from winning POY a second time, and Bradley from a second title. OE still has this season to live up to the high standards that previous POYs like AP have set.
It could still happen, but I would take AP over OE.

Also, AP was a first round NBA pick. Let's see if OE gets drafted.
AP went on to a distinguished pro career- 2 time Euroleague POY, Euroleague finals POY, multiple Euroleague Championships, etc.
It remains to be seen if OE will succeed as a pro.

Parker and it is not even close! One plays great D and O and the other just has an O in his name! I like OE's game but comparing the two is just not right.:-o The MVC does not have Super super star right now but the depth of quality players is better then at anytime.
