wcu

Well, if my anger over last Monday's loss had subsided, it's back and better than ever now after seeing WCU dismantle Louisville. They'll be dancing, and the should be bolstering our resume. Uggh.

I hated to see us loose last monday, but wcu is a very good basketball team...We could of really helped our resume with that win,all we can do now is be wcu fans!!

TWO 10 point leads blown....arghh..it STILL makes my blood boil. Wait did we let the game slip or did they take it from us. I can't recall which case we are suppose to believe and when.

That win would have been VERY nice, but now that loss doesn't look so bad... This win is obviously a big positive for us. WCU SoCon Champs!

I just got back from the U of L/WCU game. WCU is a very solid team that does a lot of good things. The Catamounts led practically for most of the game. Their ball movement had U of L chasing all night; they created so many good shots for themselves.

A little over midway through the 2nd half, #42 for WCU broke open a 1 point game by burying 3 quick 3's in succession to put them up ten, and essentially seal the deal.

The best player on the court all night was #13 for WCU. He was a menace for Louisville to defend, and he orchestrated the offense beautifully. He's a point guard's point guard. Reminded me a little bit of Drew Neitzel from Michigan State a few years back.

This was a great win for WCU, and could ultimately help us out in the long run. If only we'd have held that lead in Peoria, we'd be sitting pretty right now...

If BU would have lost a a close game to WC on the road, after leading most of the way, it might have helped BU's chances for an at large bid for NCAA's...Losing at home doesn't...I am sure there will be lots of bubble teams who lose close games to good/NCAA bound teams at home...it won't provide much differentiation for BU's chances IMO.

Good wins vs good teams trump close losses to good teams at home.

AZ I believe that the WCU loss will not hurt us as much as we all were tooting this past week. Help us? No! Hurt us? Not that much but some thought regardless we need to win the MVC regular season or tourney to make it regardless.

My cardinals will continue to epic fail until they decide its time to rebound, and play inside basketball - such a shame. It is normal for louisville to be a pretty average team for the first quarter of the season, but I'll be ****ed if they aren't just bad this year. I don't think any of my sports teams, are playing well this year - going to make for a long winter....

Well on the other hand, losing to them will not be that bad of a loss now as long as they take care of things in their conference. A win would have been better, but at least we did not lose to a bad team. They are as good if not better than I thought!

It still helps our RPI and definitely takes some of the sting out of our loss to them. Yes, it would have been better if we had won, but now we don't have a really bad loss on our resume either.

Sorry....but blowing two 10 point leads AT HOME will always look bad to THIS BU fan.

Relax! Our defense was not good, but give WCU a lot of the credit too. This team apparently may be in the same league as the BYU's of the world, at least for this year. We do need another solid OOC win, but at least the loss is not as disasterous as could have been.

True, but again, at least this is not a bad loss to a bad team right now. Things would have been a whole lot worse if WCU was bad. We just have to make sure we don't lose at home to Loyola.

Now THAT would be REALLY bad!

I think you all are giving WCU much more credit than they deserve. Will they win their weak conference? Probably. Will they be in the NCAA Tourney? Possibly. Are they comparable to BYU? Are you crazy? :?: ;)

Maybe a slight exaggeration, but they are showing they can beat some really good teams. If they win a game or two in the tournament, yes they would be in BYU's league.

And we'll see if they are still strong by the end of the year. They should be though in a relatively weak conference.
