Jake Eastman

Not sure if I'm "offened" or not (btw is this OOB posting as GTD?) - either you are saying I'm racist or not racist enough? Because I chose to compare him to another white player? Give me a break! I could have easily said AW, but he is still a work in progress. I used JC & AZ because they were outside shooters and have completed their time at BU. Plus I have far more insight or background on what JC went through, thus he was my choice (interesting leap and assumption in trying to read my mind).

Plus if you don't want to read about comparisons, a b-ball message board is the wrong place to go because all that is done here are comparisons. Coaches v. coaches, players v. players, on & on, everyone on here uses comparisons to make their points. Not sure I want to live in your reality!

Read Amkillip's post. He put it better than I did and he said exactly what I am talking about. Give it a read.

Warm-ups mean nothing.

LOL. I agree, you will never see a scout fold up his notebook and head out the door after the warm ups are completed. I mean who needs to see the game?

We talkin about Warm-Ups, not a game, not the actual game, We talkin bout Warm-ups.

You can tell by watching a player warmup if he has a good looking shot and what kind of shooter he might be as the good ones seem to get into a groove and will make several in a row.

I respectfully disagree. I've seen guys make 10 in a row in warm-ups and not hit the broad side of a barn during the game.

No joke..and I'm not going against anyone here...just making a statement: Matt Salley used to light it up from 3 on warm ups. It was ridiculous....

The one time he shot one his senior year he made it.

LOL - Love it!

I can say I can hit the 3 wide open during warm ups but game time playing is so much different. 1st the speed of the game and the endurance needed to stay effective , 2nd there is usually someone in your face or coming at you. I would never form an opinion on a player on how they warm up but I would start forming an opinion on how they practice leading up to a game.

I guess this thread I started is now pointless. I look forward to watching JE excel like DSE has done to help the team. I am not sure if JE will get as many minutes as DSE was getting per game but I sure am excited how this Freshman class looks for the future of BU basketball.

I am pulling for Jake, but it's going to be tough coming off redshirt and playing for the first time this year
with such little time to mentally prepare....but I think Jake has the ability to give us what we had wanted
Matt Roth for...a good outside shooter who also has a good head for the game...tonight's your chance, Jake, make dad proud!

T, please stop with the Matt Roth love...really, most of us have had enough...besides, what is he doing at Indiana? He's not here, its over. (Sorry to be so harsh, but that angle is beyond played)

Oh, and to talk about your opening statement there, I think its better that he has less time to prepare. Besides being a pitcher or catcher in baseball, less preparation is good because it gives less time to be nervous and overthink the situation...

All the best to Jake on the start of a hopefully bright Bradley career :)

This board should have a "smack" button. If you don't like what someone said you can "smack" them and it'll show up kind of like facebook's "poke".

I'd laugh.

an example in this situation would be when tornado goes to the homepage or logs in he'll be notified that he just got "smacked" by STLBrave...he can click on it and it'll automatically take him to this thread...that could be fun.....

well, you seem to be bothered way too much by others' thoughts and opinions, every try coming up with some of your own?
Jake is a great kid and has a fine opportunity to help out a team that needs an extra shooter to break the cold spells...

This is a mistake to bring this kid off the RS a this point! We don't need another bomb thrower, we need rebounding and post play! Inside/outside game! If we loose another guard maybe! But right now, NO WAY! A waste of a kids year and NO Help to the team! All JL is doing here, is reaching and grabbing air! What about playing two bigs and Brown at the 3. Something other than more guard play! I guess change is not in the book:roll:
