Blown Out in Ames!

Wow! How bad could this get? I haven't seen a beating this bad since Utah's opening day drubbing 81-49 or something like that in '92! Les has lost the team. Is anthony thompson still on the team?

It couldn"t get any worse then this, point guard play is horrible and we have no choice as sam and Edderen are it for now, todays game is proving why basketball is a big mans game and we do not have a true big man that can defend, score or rebound. This team is headed in the wrong direction and the way the rest of the teams are playing in the Valley looks like they could be playing thurs. night in St.Louis. I never thought I would say that about this team. This is a huge disappointment to everyone that had high expectations for this team.

Which is sad because I was SOOO optimistic and then the loss to WC began to erode it, Loyola ruined any and all optimism i had about this team, and this game is proving to me JL has significant coaching deficiencies.

Much better 2nd half as they had more fight in them, Taylor and Will need to score, defend and rebound for this team to be successful. I don"t think we will play a bigger or better team the rest of the season.
Drake is a must win.

I'd like to put an APB out for Sam's 3 point shot and TB! where has he gone? TB especially needs to adjust to the changes defenses are keying on right now.

I recall reading right before the season started that Maniscalco spent the offseason reworking his shot to become a more pure shooter. It's obvious that he's not shooting the ball right now, he's aiming it. And when a shooter does that, look out. Now his confidence seems to be basically destroyed. Sammy, don't think about it, don't worry about it, don't aim it. Just get the ball and shoot it!

If I recall correctly, this staff did the same thing with JC and it worked out pretty well. My only question is, why wait two years to retool a shot. That needs to be recognized before they step foot on campus so from Day 1, that can be worked changed.

Don't think that's realistic? Take a look at the Bradley soccer team. If you don't strike the ball with your foot in a certain way from Day 1, you are trained.

While the coaching staff is at it with SM, why not help EM too? ;)

Certainly, Crouch shot the ball very well toward the end of his college career. But Maniscalco doesn't have all that much time to waste. The sands in the hourglass are ticking, and when it comes down to it, which would you rather have: a jumper with great form but no clue where it's going, or points? Give me the points. I don't care how it gets there as long as it goes in. Am I being short sighted? Maybe, but unless he plans to take next year off and redshirt to get that j tightened up, I say scrap it and shoot it baby! Just my opinion.

Didn't see or hear any of the game today, so I have no comment except that the new season starts with the Drake game.

Isn't that Hotel media Q&A thing tomorrow night in Peoria? Someone ask Les why he keeps calling timeouts when we go on rallys. That is the opposing coaches job to call a timeout.

Jason

The Time Out! Why??? I really want to know. I hope someone in the media asks.
