I believe I have only complained once my entire time here about a post of mine being deleted. I know I have had more than that deleted because they deserved to be. I accept things like that. To be honest I have fully expected most of my posts tonight on this particular topic to be deleted and then I would not say another word about it because I have had posts about this topic deleted and I haven't reposted them. There's no need, anyone who wants to find out more can. The moderators saw my complaints (because they were deleted) and that's all that matters. The know where I stand and I still have not been banned. Either because they feel guilty for what happened or because they feel I don't overstep boundaries after posts are deleted. I'm not sure.
If a post of yours was completely changed and then quoted that wouldn't peeve you a bit? If so you have some serious apathy going on that I cannot relate to.

It is my opinion that a post should NEVER be edited except by its author....if it has something that is against guidlines DELETE it...do NOT edit it.....just my humble opinion....
I do not recall a post of mine being edited...

mrcoachdude...you say that and now you make me wonder why you are opposing me at all....
Where have I said that I am completely against them deleting posts? Please find it for me.
The fact is I have said numerous times in this thread and another thread that they can delete as much as they want. Yes I do think it's excessive but ultimately I or anyone have no say in that. But when they are EDITING the posts (which has been proven) they are crossing ethical BOUNDARIES. I thought I have been making myself perfectly clear on this issue. If those are indeed your thoughts why are we disputing this because that is exactly what I have been saying. A post of mine has been altered that I posted on this website and then posted (as a link) on another members message as fact to back up their point. That, my friend, is unethical and it is that to which I am trying to make people aware of so things like that and things like rigging a poll do not happen anymore.
And again as a disclaimer the thing which I have no evidence for is the poll rigging. That, for all I know, could have been a hacker.....the only thing there is circumstantial....
Anyway I'm done with this. I've made my point and if you still don't know what I mean or still "don't care" then either 1. just wait till something happens to you and see if you care (it won't since, I assume, you are close to some higher up's on this board) 2. just disregard everything i say as some kid just slinging mud

While we are busy pointing fingers at the mods...doesn't anyone feel like it could have been any number of people from ValleyTalk and their "Mecca Refugee" thread.
I wouldn't put anything past some of the posters over there who have had it in for this site and this site's owners for a very long time.
The saddest thing about this is that people actually get ultra-worked up over this stuff. Bradleyguy10 - take a deep breath - it really will be ok. C'mon guys, lets not fall apart over a poll on whether our coach is doing ok or not.
In the end - this poll doesn't amount to even a small hill of beans.

There have been a few people on this board that have stated that they can find out who did it and have offered their help. Yet they have not gotten a response back. Wake me up when they get one. Yeah maybe it was one of them...but if there is a way to figure it out why wouldn't you? Especially when it is you that is being accused...Besides if you go over there and read the pages on the poll topic it doesn't seem likely any of those people did it and they surely would not vote A or B for JL. I mean come on...just read the posts here (about the actual probability of a hacker working within minutes on numerous accounts & in alphabetical order) and use your head. It's called putting 2 and 2 together and whomever has the power to repeatedly mess with people's accounts should no longer have it. I feel like I am getting attacked for that very basic belief.
Why would a hacker...come onto bradleyfans and then do something positive?? Wouldn't they want to create as much havoc as possible. But no..instead a hacker that is good enough to do it within minutes decides to use his ability to vote for JL as an A and B coach for bradley. Yeah....right.

Ok cowboy...listen here. Even if the folks in with all the power broke some kind of message board poll ethical code - they still have the power and you can bet that they won't relinquish it any time soon. THEY OWN THE SITE.
Who're they going to turn the reigns over to? You? Seriously, if you don't like it, just leave. For your own sanity, wake up.
The mods do a pretty good job with keeping things around here civil for the most part, IMO. I appreciate having a site that I can come to, find everything I want to about BU basketball, engage in a little light debate, and generally form my own opinions. Thanks fellas for the site and all you do.

really I'm done with this now...some are going to believe what they want to believe no matter what and this is one of those instances but at least I'm not calling you guys out and calling you naive or something. I'm merely stating the facts and then the stipulations and saying that it needs to change if true. If you think because they pay the bills they can do w/e they want to ppl's accounts (illegal) then we have a fundamental disagreement with how message boards should be run & that won't change. So to each their own.
And by the way. I may be the only one posting about this but I have had a few posters message me and talk to me other ways that have told me they are behind me on this.

This I agree with....people can believe what they want.
I would ask this question- if someone here (and I am the only one with true administrating capability) wanted to influence a silly poll- why would they do it like was done, by loading way too many votes into the "A" category all at once so that it would be immediately obvious?
And then after it was discovered, do it again in a more obvious way the next day when the poll is reposted?
Whoever did this, obviously wanted it to be discovered quickly, and wanted to make it look embarrassing to this site.

I also find it more than just a bit odd this happened in a poll about Coach Les, and at this time, when the team is struggling. Situations like this are when we usually get an invasion of new anti-Jim Les posters. Coincidence? Maybe it wasn't so random after all, though I have no evidnece to make any accusations.
Unfortunately, we can't go any farther tracing this down. I would be glad to have any qualified expert review what happened, but wouldn't I be a little stupid to send out our administration passwords to someone I don't even know?
I am convinced it was an outside hacker, and a vBulletin expert says it could have been an outside hacker. I have already shown that this version of the vBulletin software has a reported vulnerability that apparently allows an attack like this.

I am told that a knowledgeable hacker would be able to do this even without knowing admin or user passwords, through a backdoor glitch in the software. We've been advised to do the upgrade, and that is in progress.
I don't doubt that some of the same people with an agenda against this site have tried to contact you, bradleyguy10, and others and tried to use this for their gain. Feel free to believe whatever and whoever you want.

I agree, everyone should give it up. I'm sure some of us have an idea who may have stuffed the ballot box, many details of how to stuff a ballot box have been posted to us over the past few years. I'm sure it was all in good fun. Don't overreact to this, but it's been fun to read the posts. The Fed's should be hanging around ..... not BradleyFans

Just for the record the people that have contacted me are not anti-BU. Why would I mention getting support from WSU, SIU, etc. fans? That wouldn't make sense. The people are active members on this site and have contacted me in ways that you or anybody here can't get to. Just stop. Stop making me the bad guy in this.
From now on when someone that has an anti-BU agenda and then does something that is clearly meant to be a positive thing on this board I will blindly agree that it makes complete sense and the knot is tied.
And stop telling people to go to different boards. It's like telling someone who voted for McCain to live in Canada. I've admitted a number of times this is a very good board for information and discussion. And really are there many public message boards that cost money to visit?
P.S. I thought you HAD contacted an expert? Honestly just curious, but can they not figure it out?
