Yeah but at home we don't get 95% of those calls I don't think. I don't want to talk too much about the refs, but they were bad tonight. Almost felt like the league, don't let the almost top 25 team get upset, fix was in.
It was obvious given the fact that Sanzere, Pollard, and Wymer were all given the game...
I'm not sure we'll end up with a crew collectively that bad the rest of the year.
We also got a foul called on us when I think it was Koch went to the rim, scored and I believe it was Brown was called for a foul. On the replay he was not touched by the 3 BU players near him.
I am not sure who the foul was called on but it should have been Singh got him from behind with his body. I think he hit him across the back of his head as well... pretty sure I saw the ref motion that was the foul when he called it- could be wrong though...
I didnt type that one very well. 3 players allowing 1 guy to get to the rim between them score and we get a soft foul on us. If your going to foul at the rim foul hard and dont be passive.... all 3 of those players in that play allowed him to the rim with little resistance. Whoever it was on it was soft.
Didn't he also make the call on the tip in by DSE
Isn't one of the things officials look for in that situation is the lowering of the shoulder? DSE did that, and that's probably why the call was made.
yes squirrel lowering the shoulder is certainly very obvious to an official and usually makes the call pretty easy.Isn't one of the things officials look for in that situation is the lowering of the shoulder? DSE did that, and that's probably why the call was made.

The charge call was made by Mike Sanzere, the worst official in the League.
Sanzere and Pollard are as bad as they come... not sure who Wymer is... I assume you didn't mean Welmer did you? (the tall balding ref that always pulls his pants up)... Because Welmer is really good...
No Houston it is not acceptable to base it on body action. At their level anticipation should not happen. I did not see the game so I can't comment whether he took a flop or not. There is a rule seldom used but I have seen it, where it is a "T" to fake a flop and start falling before contact. Most of the time that is ignored and they play on. If Moran did start going down before contact shame on the guy who had the whistle. If the contact was caused by DSE lowering his shoulder and the contact knocked Moran down that now becomes an easy call. See I can be objective.Wily, your always looking at everything with those black and white stripped eyes
But let me ask you if a player like DSE did put a shoulder down as he drove to the basket, is it acceptable to make the call simply based on his body action versus if the action even caused a foul to occur? Essentially anticipation of a foul because of a norm action that causes a foul?
