Game Day

On this Saturday, I do not sleep quite as late. When I wake up I am full of anxiety. After all it is game day.
After turning the coffee on, I go out in the frigid weather, to get the PJS . I go directly to the Sports page, to read Dave Reynolds write up. Oh-oh, he picks ISU by 5 and the line is ISU -7 1/2.
Now my anxiety increaes on Game Day.
Oh well, get the beer cold and stir the beef, later to be made into Italian beef, for the Game Day fiest .
Friends are coming, it is game day.
As I take a shower my mind focuses on the game.:
Hold Phillpis and Eldredge under 25, control the boards and play our new found D, and not start 2-19 and we can beat this team.
However, if Phillps or Eldredge go off, Odiakosa and Carmicheal control the boards, we can't throw a brick in the ocean we lose on game day.
4:30, stupid time, way to far away. Well at least I can kill two hours with Indiana @ Illilnois @ 1:00..
Just think if we win the jubilation I will feel. Now,surely we will finish isecond in the MVC. Give Les a contract extension.
If we lose, downersviile, here comes The Play in Game. Fire Les!
Experiencing the highs and the lows of game day .
Gees, will that clock ever move. 5 more hours! Oh well only 4 until Dan Diorio's pre-game It is game day

I reflect on all those non-sports people. They never experience "the thrill of victory, the agony of defeat."
Nor game day!
For all the anxiety, the emotional highs, and the lows, I relish Game day!
Go Braves!

Great Post G'.......I'm glad it isn't jist me!

ps......not sure yet how I feel about tonight yet.....we do seem to play better on big games though!

I've made a promise to myself to drink a lot of water today, to cool me down before the game. I'm going to have my Kellogg's frosted Mini Wheats strawberry delights (good source of vitamins and fiber) in a big bowl of milk and watch some online programs at abc or cbs or nbc or fox.com. I've got my fillet mignon defrosting on the counter top which I'll eat with a big batch of boiled potatoes. There will be some kool-aid in the mix too. Won't be able to see the game, but I'll be listening online. GO BRAVES!

Ditto here, although I still have to decide what I'm going to eat during the game. :D

Go Braves! :D

I bought new windows at Menards, $2,000 and have a flippin Christmas party at 5:30......gameday, yeah love it. :)

Go Braves....

I already know ISU's game plan. Pass the ball around the perimeter for an easy wide open 3 from Eldridge and Phillips all game long. I would put money down that half of there shots will be 3 pointers. I just hope our shooting will be able to hang with em.

You know, even including the last game, BU's opposed 3pt% is actually a strength... We're #72 in the country... so not elite, but not awful either.

EDIT - and to give you an idea of how "good" #72 is, that puts us at #2 in the MVC, behind WSU who's #38.
