listen to coach les on post-game show. stated we were too impatient on offense and some players are too concerned about individual stats. that and we played soft on defense.

who is referring too about being to conderned about individual stats? certainly not sammy.

I support him for one more season but if he does not get out and find a true center and get better recruits and scrap this 3 guard system he will lose my support because basketball is a big mans game and we have been playing with strong forwards at the center position since O'Bryant left , Egolf is a good player but is not a center.

Who is the coach and gets paid to make sure these things dont happen?

he was definitley down. seems he really has tried about everything with this group to get over the hump. just hasnt worked. need to get som more talent coming to bu.

College coaching is a really tough occupation.

I remember in Vegas after the Okla State game, JL looked really down in the dumps after the loss, sitting in the upper stands by himself watching the Illini-Utah game. 24 hours later, on top of the world.

Got to be hard to take the ups and downs...

I can imagine. I work in sales, and I get those highs and lows on a daily basis. Makes life much more stressful. But there are a lot of good coaches that deal with it and have a lot of success.

Pretty sure it was Chris Roberts. Lately CR has seemed to think he can dribble and pull up, which almost inevitably leads to an off-balanced shot or turnover. DSE started the 2nd half in his place, so I think that JL finally saw enough of the CR show.

Chris was suffering leg cramps all game, and that is what limited his playing time. And Chris has always been the most unselfish of all the players.
I don't think the coach was referring to him as much as one of the others.:|

I agree sometimes I think CR tries to do too much and takes some bad shots, but I think it's more for the reason nothing is going on offense so he's trying to make something happen. I do believe there is another player though who rarely dishes the ball once he receives it. Some could see it as selfish other could see it as trying to lead the team and take control.

I can tell you it takes more effort on D then on O so if you coast on D you have more energy for your offensive game. So, look at which players seem not to play on you toes, down in a crouch ready to explode D and that is who he is speaking about. The best teams and players are ready to give it up for the team because they realize that the number one stat is your teams W-L.

The best team we've had with this regime had serviceable guards and great big men. For some reason we went away from winning that way. Not sure why.

I think he probably thought he had that in AT....or at least WOULD have had it by now. Maybe not great but pretty good.

And remember, we wenty away from it when POB went away...early.
