Rushing the court?

I can't remember what game it was this season, I think it might of been the SC over KY game, but I saw the most worthless Security line ever. About 5 Security dudes were standing in front of the student section with their arms spread out, as if to hold the students back, but that didn't help any, all the students just ran right on thru their arms LOL.

Only thing I would hate for is a player to get hurt when the students rush the court. I've seen several players get tackled by the mob of students before.

Agree , plus they can only stop you if you let them, when you have the numbers it is impossible to stop them.

All arenas have security stationed by the court, but they usually just step aside. Don't ever remember the students rushing the floor at a BU game. Wouldn't classify 54 students coming on the floor as a rush.

That was about how many did it. Maybe a few more but not by much. It can get better with more practice. Still a good win. Great 2nd half.

That was a classic Chico:lol: But I think you meant some serious intend towards the students in your much funny commit, Chico:) Your just telling it like it is friend:!: Some how, someway, the students have to start supporting their team:!: It just makes it so much more fun when their section is full:!: They have no idea what they are missing and the unjustness they do to the team by not being there and supporting them:!::( Your missing out on all this white crap. friend:roll:

You're right OOB. When the students are there, there is so much more atmosphere, I think I spelled that right, at Carver. I expect the students who aren't basketball fans not to be there, but the ones who are should be there win or lose. I would think that is part of going to college.

Did people like the idea of rushing the court in this game? Yes they are ranked...yes it was a good game, but what happened to the "act like you've been there before" mentality for this. They are in our conference and it was a home game. If we are good team in the conference we SHOULD be winning games like this....I loved that we won though. JMO

we have brought this up many times in the other threads...the general consensus is that it was unnecessary

Don't know whether I like it or not, but that's the new"fad" at college games it seems. If the kids enjoy it and it doesn't hurt anything or anybody it's ok with me. Just hoping one of these years we will be a team worthy of having our opponent's fans rush the court.

No chance anyone was going to get hurt today. Plenty of room to move about.

But we have never been there before. This was the first time Bradley has ever beaten a ranked opponent at the Civic Center.

I'm with Chico on this. I don't have a problem with it as long as it's permitted and nobody gets hurt.

I'm fine with it. I'm glad we did it. We did something for the first time in 27 years, and quite frankly we're not a very good basketball team, so this was an upset in every sense of the word. Let the kids enjoy it!

It was a good time to do it because of the importance of the game, the students and the players seemed to enjoy it which is what it is all about, now they can tell their friends what they missed out on by not attending the game.
