P'Allen Stinnett's season over

Creighton guard P'Allen Stinnett was suspended indefinitely on Jan. 25. But today it was announced that his suspension will last the rest of the season, according to Creighton head coach Dana Altman-

P'Allen is a junior, but I think it is unlikely he will return for his senior season.

I'll echo again what I just stated in the UNI Rumor thread. What a shame that such a marquee player who would have elevated Creighton and the Valley in general has turned out to have so many personal issues.

Hopefully he gets his head on straight and goes onto to some sort of pro career somewhere. What a sad end to his college career!

Good riddance. Can't say I'm surprised though. He was one of the most obnoxious players I have ever watched in person. Two years ago, I was lucky enough to have front row seats to the BU-CU game and noticed that every time he scored, he mouthed something to the nearest player.

I never cared much for him as a player, but he is still a young man and I hope he finds a place to succeed, and develop his God-given potential..
His time line resembles Sean Ogirri...messing up on and off for nearly 3 years, then if he transfers, he only has a year left elsewhere...
But I have been saying for 3 years, he has all too often been given a very long leash...and had JL experienced the same thing with any of his players, I can assure we'd have seen an avalanche of criticism.....but I think Dana had a very hot potato to try to handle, but obviously now things should have been done differently...

I guess few if anyone on this board will shed a tear for him. I wonder if anyone on the CU board will?;)

UNI is deep enough to win without him. O'Rear and Koch are more than serviceable inside, and I think they have the shooters to weather this storm...in the short term.

Oh I agree. This guy has an attitude problem. But at the same time, it's a shame that a person with this much talent just threw it all away like this, and maybe this will be the wake-up call this young man needs to turn his life around. I hope he finds a place to play and hopefully he matures as a player and as a person.

Well, either way, this will be much better for Creighton, and they will be so much more of a dangerous team without him.
