Tiger's Press Conference

Did anybody see it? Wow, he looked like a deer in headlights...horribly uncomfortable, forcing his words and gestures.

It reminds me of the OJ verdict...everyone in our office stopped what they were doing and gathered around a TV to watch.

To me, much to about nothing! He does not hold a public office he just swings clubs so what he does in his off time is his problem. Yea he seems to be a douche bag and a stupid cheater but honestly a press conference for this? Doesn't our society have much bigger pressing issues?

Also now how many guys now who go on an occasional business trip are being scrutinized a bit more for no reason by their significant other because of Tiger? ;-)

With how popular golf is worldwide, he is arguably the most recognizable face on the planet. He hasn't been seen for three months, a time which people speculated almost anything imaginable about him and his family, and his sport almost solely depends on his presence to drive advertising and ratings. It was good for all those people to see his face again and for him to show a human side of himself that's never been seen before.

Despite your 3,259 posts on this Web site, I'm sure you would agree that society probably has bigger, more pressing issues than discussing rumors about Bradley basketball.

I saw it today. He sure did look nervous. I don't think he could talk any slower. Just a sad situation but something that should not be on all 3 networks, CNN, and Fox. Way to much commentary before and after the press conference from talking heads. ABC, CBS, and NBC all leave their regular scheduled programs for "breaking news":roll: Breaking news is a plane crashing into a federal building on purpose but not a Tiger Woods apology.

I also saw a pathetic news conference with attorney Gloria Allred holding hands with one of Tigers "victims" She is a real piece of work. She says that her client deserves an appology too and is offended and hurt. Goes on to say that her client felt, that besides Tiger's wife, this girl thought that she was the only one for Tiger. Once she found out more girls were involved she was embarassed and hurt. Allred also said that this girl gave up her career "to be with Tiger" even though she knew of Tiger's wife and children.
Oh by the way.... the "career" she gave up was a performer as a porn star.

Did anyone see the picture of Allred and this girl? I swear it looked like a mannequin.

each and every one of the women entered willingly into the relationship, so they got what they "bargained" for...
so what are they all haggling for now...a payoff, fame, what???
My suspicion is that Tiger has done no more wrong than several recent Presidents and certainly a few Governors and Senators...so why does the press (I suspect it a self-serving reason) keep making monstrous headlines for ??

Tiger has always thought he was above the common man. He ignores fans, refuses to sign autographs, and cusses and slams clubs on the course.

He got married, had kids, and then cheated on his wife with more than 10+ women.

Nice message and lessons he is teaching those kids.

Today was a complete sham. He couldn't even talk to the camera. He had to read a prepared script.

Not his words or thoughts.

I have no problem with Tiger coming out and making a public statement. He is not at fault because the media wants to cover it. If it isn't really news why are there people on here talking about it? As for his problems...they are just that, his problems. I would be surprised if much more about this comes out from Tiger or his wife for a long time.

As for his behavior on the course....that is why I like watching him. He reacts like just about everyone I know who golfs. I hit a bad shot (not often mind you;)), I am sure that a few choice words might come out. I have a brother who has been known to slam a club or 2, or 3 or the entire bag!!!:p

I think he owes her at least a million, he can afford it, for the pain he has put her through and she quiting her job for him, it only seems fair to me. I mean this seriously.

Imagine the lessons he is passing on to his children.

Stay classy, Tiger!

Golddigger.
He owes her nothing. I'm sure she has already gotten paid.

His wife? I don't know, she seems nice to me, I don't see her as a gold digger. Although I obviously would have no idea because I don't know them. Either way I don't think anyone deserves what Tiger did. I also agree this is way too big, I'm sure this happens a lot more than we know with professional athletes and politicians, and society needs to be focused on more serious problems. This is their personal problem, and what they do is their business not the world's.

No sympathy for Elin at all DC?:)

I also have no problem with TW at all, if he wants to give a statement that is cool. It must have been important enough if millions tuned in to watch....He didn't break any laws and is still the greatest golfer ever. :)

No, I was not referring to Elin. She did nothing wrong!
I was referring to the porn actress that was the subject of that LA Times article. She and her attorney, the lovely Gloria Allred, are demanding an apology from Tiger.
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2010/02/gloria-allred-attacks-tiger-woods.html

You know what that is all about, don't you? Some of the alleged Tiger mistresses received big payoffs to remain silent. Obviously this woman, Veronica Siwik-Daniels, also known as porn actress Joslyn James, didn't get a big pay day yet, and is fishing for one. Thus the term golddigger.

Oh haha my mistake. Sorry bout that, I didn't read the rest of the posts. Ya I've heard about the payoffs, but I didn't hear about this lady wanting money cause she didn't get her payoff. I don't really care about Tiger or this story so I haven't followed it real close, but it is always on. That is hilarious, I wouldn't give her a dime, he owes her nothing! You are right about her being a gold digger! Of Course what can you expect from someone of that "profession."

I also agree with those that said Tiger should've spoke more from the heart, as it seemed unsympathetic reading right off a script with no emotion. Anyone else tired of it being on all day?? Show me some sports.

Good one there and my GF would agree with you!:D Forget about me and how I waste time but a complete blow up every network can't miss news conference? I'd understand a Barbara Walters special but come on man!

Are you talking about a million bucks for his wife or the ex girlfriend/porn star?I don't know about paying off the actress. She should be apologizing to the wife and kids. I don't think Tiger owes her anything.

I am sure she is now highly sought after by some x-rated director. She will make big bucks for her next gig. I can see something with a Tiger Woods look alike and some night putting:lol::lol: Many movie titles come to mind: "A Tiger's Roar," "Just Do It Tiger," "Finishing Strong at The Masters," or something related to the Gatorade slogan. The possibilities are endless.:lol:
