Great Game! BU-76 Drexel-60

Great win by the players who clearly "sucked it up" with difficult circumstances. And great win by Coach Les who clearly outcoached Bruiser!
 
This was one of our top 3 games of the year as far as dominating a team and putting them away at the end. Let's hope now that this is the first of a six game winning streak that will put us into the Big Dance! :D
 
Great game. DSE gets better every game but needs to learn how to get hung up and not lose the ball. CR played real well, I thought Singh did some good things. AW kept shooting even though they weren't falling, which is a good sign. Good crowd.

I love AW but he needs to review the film on his two or three "soft" drives where he tried to get cute with his shot instead of taking it to the hoop with authority. Even Big Bish pointed out how he needs to look for contact instead of avoiding it.

I agree. There is a point where he gets the ball where I think everyone in the place is thinking, "ok, he's going to dribble twice and jab, then take a fadeaway shot."

We were right behind C-Rob's family tonight. They had a ball. My freinds and I were counting up his second half rebounds out loud leading up to his double double. The whole section got into it (16). Big time dunk to end the half.
 
The team looked very well prepared tonight. JE showed us a glimpse of what we can expect in the future. Nice game from DSE, and another wow moment form Roberts at the end of the first half!

It's little things like this that have cost us games at times this year. I agree that we still get soft when we think we have the game in hand, and these AW shots tonight, while not threatening the outcome, are reasons why this team still needs to have the concept of finishing a game properly drilled in their heads. But hopefully as this team continues to mature we will have this concert down pat by next season.

I'm not sure who got player of the game but IMO C-Rob was the man of the game. I loved his inspired play on all sides of the ball. If he can continue with that type of effort we can do some damage. He played with a ton of passion.:lol:

BTW..That Fouch guy can sure shoot!
 
Outstanding game plan and execution, especially the zone defense. Coach Les said they thought this team would be susceptible to a 2-3 zone, so they practiced it the last couple days, and it worked well. The execution of the zone was tremendous, and frustrated their shooters all night. Drexel shot 34.4% for the game, and BU had 8 steals.

Chris had a great game in front of his family, who will stay and be there for senior night Wednesday. Chris had 15 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals, and one monster dunk before halftime.
Sammy had another great game- 20 points, 4 assists
Andrew had a solid game, despite missing his first 4 shots- 18 points, 5 rebounds.
Dyricus was solid- 32 minutes, 8 points, 4 rebounds.
Attendance 9,390
 
Nice win 15 to 4 them offensive boards we just refuse to get defensive boards. Glad for the win but this deep into the season and the bad rebounding team continues. It really is a good thing they are not very diciplined defensively.
