For whatever reason he seems to fly under the radar...maybe that's because there isn't much else we've got. We are one good big (Diema Odiakosa) away from being a very good team...

Egolf is undersized and not a true center, we are one good big man from winning this league but I have not heard that we are in line to get this type of player and we will struggle against the top teams in this league without a true center.
Taylor should be back in the starting lineup friday and we had better figure out a way to stop the wide open 3 pointers by Creighton because that is why we have lost now twice to them this season.

I kinda meant the reason we we have to go to the zone some to protect our bigs, especially when Egolf is out, cuz Singh can't handle Lawson. I know what ya mean though. The reason we are playing zone is that we have no solid center.

I would force Lawson to get 40 to beat us, it seems like when we double up on him it allows everyone else to get going, and we still can't handle Lawson anyway. I say let Lawson get his, and stick like glue to everybody else.
 
Defense was just not there for most of the day. And as we saw, we need to get help down low. Hopefully JP can fill that void or we pick someone up in recruiting!

Let the count down to departure for St. Louis begin!
 
...Or hope that Jordan Prosser adds a lot of muscle and weight by next season. (in reference to Big Mike's post about recruiting needs)
 
I have high hopes for JP....but WE and JP are more 4's in D1 than 5's.....we need a real 5 like a Stutz or anyone big enough to hold some ground in the paint! Plus if JW still comes , he is more of a guard/forward even at 6'9 ..so we still need help.

I see what you mean. I mean, Will and Kenny are similar heights according to the rosters, but it looks like Kenny has 15 more pounds of weight on Will.

That weight makes all the difference. WE in order to make up for that either has to have cat like reflexes or super human strength. Right now to hold his ground I'm sure he is using his hands a bit more. Lawson also maybe using his arms and hands but because he is bigger it appears less apparent like a foul. Those are the little things that go into a game plan at this level. We'll pound it in and see if we can get their big in trouble quickly. Oh the reffs are calling them tight, better yet!

SFP, DC was right. AW was very sick..In the 1st half he sat for a while due to almost becoming sick.... Told him to get some chicken soup and lots of rest before Fri.
 
After looking at the boxscore....I first thought SM might still be injured after the WS game, he only attempted one 3......but he also played 40 minutes?
 
BU snake bit vs CU - officials, illness, injuries, untimely tweets, and, MVC scheduling that allows CU to play its "Senior Day" game vs a team who is now 0 for its last 12 at Omaha. Coincidence?
 
Was at my nephew's birthday party and had to miss the game.

Were they all over Sammy or what? He played the whole game but only got 3 pts?

Would be diffifcult for any team to win at Creighton on Senior day/night.

One problem I've noticed all year with Egolf all year is how he leans into and over the man he is guarding, and then continues moving into the man after the shot. I can't believe nobody has told him to just stand straight and tall and not lean into and form a "tent" over the man he is guarding. He gets called for a foul every time so you think he'd learn. :rolleyes: :(

Yeah, the fouls were "ticky tack" but they were fouls none the less.

The Creighton defense was on Sammy from the midcourt line. Sammy didn't have a good shooting day, but most of it was their defensive quickness and staying on him. DSE didn't have a good game either, and we really needed him to.
