Upset in the Brewing

The Big East. How about the Big Least. Notre Dame, loss. Georgetown, loss. Marquette, loss. Villanova, lucky win. I'd look for Pittsburgh to lose to Oakland. So far it's high seed teams 6 and low seeded teams 6. This could end up being a March Madness to remember.

It's been quite the day so far. Even Montana gave New Mexico a good first half, but NM is beginning to pull away now. Still looking to see if SDSU can pull things out.

I believe a couple of valley refs are doing the Tennessee SDSU game and showing why they do a lot of valley games!! yikes!!!

Yeah, amazing the terrible job Pollard does, yet somehow he got an NCAA game...

Not amazing or even surprising that he made himself known on a terrible call with 3 minutes left in the game that could have cost SDST the game...

Once again, Gerry Pollard is NOT the name on the ticket, even though he sure as h*ll believes so!

Don't look now, but #15 Morgan St. up on #2 W. Virginia 10-0, 5 minutes into the first half! It's early, but not a good omen for the Big East again.

I thought they'd give them a better game then most nationally probably thought when I saw them play us and Illinois pretty well, but I no way thought Wofford would perhaps beat Wisky!

9:02 left, 42 all!

Need Cornell to the S16....I'll forfeit Wisconsin game so Cornell can play Wofford...

So Bradley is better than Wisconsin if Wofford wins?

Flawless logic. ;-) I guess we would be.

Ya that's what I was thinking to with Cornell too, also I just like root for the "mid-majors."

I don't know if this year is just a down year for majors, but I think the gap is quickly closing between major and mid-major.

Too bad Wofford couldn't pull this game out. But it would have been REALLY interesting to see a Cornell/Wofford matchup. You don't see this too many years, that is two lower majors playing for a spot in the Sweet 16!

Also picked the wrong 12/5 upset as Texas A&M had little trouble beating Utah St. Now I'm afraid this will add more fuel to the debate amongst the pundits who thought UTEP and Utah St. had no business being selected for the tournament.

Maybe Minnesota shouldn't have been selected either though, and maybe the Big East was over hyped, and Villanova, ND, and Marquette were all way over seeded. Florida didn't get killed, but they didn't belong in either in my opinion. Also they can't argue that some "mid-majors" were way under seeded as well.

So it is a 2-way street if they are going to use that argument, but your right I wouldn't be surprised to hear them say stuff like that. Fortunately they have talked about the Big East maybe being overhyped on ESPN, of course their responses were all no, it just isn't as good as last year.

Yeah, hopefully they do site the overrated BCS teams that shouldn't have been in as well. But that won't stop Digger and his cronies from saying otherwise.

What the h*ll was that call! I'm not saying they would have won but that was a terrible call.
