Texas A&M vs. Purdue game - did I just hear what I thought I heard?

One of the announcers said that Texas A&M plays hard defense just like coach Mark Turgeon's "old Saluki teams always did".
Did anyone hear that?? Unless I misinderstood - it's just more pure ignorance when it comes to their knowledge of the MVC and mid-majors in general.


Anyway, it's already a great day as Maryland went down and so did Wisconsin (to Cornell)!

BTW - did you see how close Evan Turner was to a QUADRUPLE DOUBLE!....

Well, in their defense they had been talking about the great defense that Matt Painter's Saluki team played.

And yes, Evan Turner continues to be terrible.
 
coulda sworn they were talking about Turg's old teams...but anyway....if it was Painter then it wasn't as a bad of a slip as some we've been hearing......
 
Yeah, I thought they were talking about Painter still, and was just very complementary of the SIU teams of old. This battle of ex-MVC coaches looks to be a good game.
