Can some one actually say they have heard KW or for that matter anyone from the PJS say they HATE BU and JL? Please step forward:!:
I'm stepping forward...... yes I have heard someone from the PJS sports staff say that.

The piece was a slam nothing more, nothing less. Tell me it was anything else.
Informative, no.
Anything new, no.
Great timing, no.
Did he spin, YES.
If that is what you expect from journalism well keep on reading his hit pieces. The PJS is a very mediocre paper at best. Journalism standards have gone to the pits the last 10 years, so now even the Wall Street Journal is starting to look like a urinal.
It's not like there is a lot of choice here as BU BB has not/is not making headline article's any where else:? As for the Wall St. Jour., there to is not much they can do to sugar coat their articles![]()
Name Please![]()
No way I'm opening that can of worms.
Why not just hang the baster...

Plenty of choices here my friend. That's the beauty of life and living in America, we all have choices. He just choses one where he opens himself to exposing his deep rooted issues to the public if he likes it or not. I see this all the time and I myself fight those urges of self destruction. I could speak on this issue for quite some time because it all has to do with how you feel about yourself when it is all said and done. Tornado goes for the jugular, which makes me laugh, more times then not, but I'm a bit empathic with these type of characters. It really has to do with patience of how to deal with those that have venom within their soul.
things change ...
---> information overload and people just don't....
I don't know how or why this led to such animosity and discussion. The article simply brought up a topic on many people's mind. It addressed it with the man who actually can answer it. Nothing wrong with that.
oob -- can you show me where I have recommended anything of the kind as you suggest...
have I not, in this very thread, said this --->>>.......that his column is just stirring the pot and I have no problem with it..
I didn't start the thread..
and I didn't even respond until the thread was going almost 12 hrs..
and just about everything I said is summed up with this comment...
"btw -- I don't have a problem with this column"
http://www.bradleyfans.com/vb/showpost.php?p=193251&postcount=10
on the same page as that comment, at least 10 other posters ripped Wessler saying...
"it took 685 words to say absolutely nothing..you're just wasting the reader's valuable time!
..this is complete garbage!!!!"
"Well that was pointless drivel"
"I don't care to waste my time with what he has to say"
"..under-handed journalism! ..a pathetic writer.."
" twisting them into innuendo.. half-baked story..ramblings ??¦ KW has lost his journalistic integrity and the PJS should fire his butt."
I think, oob, you should be fair and lay the blame for whatever violence you wish to commit on someone else, not me...
If you don't understand why most people have a problem with this poorly written piece of "journalism" BradleyJD then that might explain why you are in the vast minority with your opinion.......

I agree with JD...I read the article, shrug my shoulders and read the next article. I don't dwell on things like this. This board is pretty predictable on responses from the PJS.
The other 99% of the folks that read the article have forgotten it the next day.
We all have a certain amount of biases on certain topics and/or people.....
I haven't been around in a while, and I did not read the article until today.
WOW.....this is a long thread, for what is basically just a small piece explaining how the A.D. might judge a coach.
First, I thought the article did a great job of laying out how any coach at BU can be expected to be evaluated on his/her job. I, for one, never knew exactly what was in the evaluation group.
I think that A.D. Cross did an excellent job of talking about how even 1 of those categories can be the reason for firing OR for retention. I found that extremely interesting.
Secondly, I liked the ending of the piece. I felt it summed up the article very well.
So we return to what we see on the court.
“I believe,” Cross told us, “we have all the requisite support necessary to compete at the highest levels in the Valley.”
I don't know how or why this led to such animosity and discussion. The article simply brought up a topic on many people's mind. It addressed it with the man who actually can answer it. Nothing wrong with that.
.....I guess I am happy to be in the minority.
What, exactly, is poorly written in the article?
I teach English, and I did not find much that would indicate poor use of English. If you do not like the article, I understand that. But not liking an opinion piece is different from saying it is poorly written.
The last time I checked, Kirk Wessler was listed as an editor and columnist, not a reporter.
I stand by what I said. I did not find the piece to be bad. I thought A.D. Cross made very good points and helped to explain his policy for reviewing the coaches in the BU athletic program.
