BU record to date: 1-0

JD's prediction record: 1-0

Here's the rundown....

-NIU lost its opener 97-78 to Northwestern

--NIU averaged just 67.2 ppg a season ago.

---NIU gave up 71.9 ppg last year.

----The Huskies are lead by Xavier Silas who put up 25 in the opener.

-----Silas average 19.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game last season.

------NIU was just 10-20 last year, and won only 3 of 16 road contests.

-----Cameron Madlock, at 6ft 9, will miss the BU game for NIU

----NIU still has 6ft 6, 270 lb Tim Toler and 6ft 6 245lb Nate Rucker

---Toler only had 3 rebounds against Northwestern in 26 minutes

--Rucker had six boards

-NIU shot 52% against Northwestern

BU won last year's match-up 63-49, although Silas did not play. NIU has not been a good team lately, and this is a home game for the Braves.

Coach Jim Les says that Bradley has made some adjustments without Taylor Brown.

???But the guys are buying in. They??™re excited.???

I give BU the advantage with NIU not really knowing how BU may change up its lineups throughout the game.

BU needs to stay focused on D, and use its depth at guard to remain fresh to control the full court, transition D.

The BU bigs must find a way to match-up with the NIU size, and the coaches must keep a fresh set of bodies in the game at all time.

I expect a much sharper BU than we saw in game #1.

BU 71

NIU 62

I think the funny part of this thread is that we were -15.5 at tip according to some betting outlets. I hope you guys bet with your wallets instead of your heart -- there was easy money to be made in the Valley yesterday.
