let's be positive for a minute

I don't know if this stuff is covered in the other threads, but I'm tired of sifting through the "this team is terrible" stuff to look.

Here are the positives I saw from the game:

1. It was a good showcase of what I believe are the two best individual players in the Valley. Drew was very good and Weems was downright sick.

2. I know I'll catch grief for this, but we played them to a tie in the second half. I know they aren't deep, but their starters played all but 25 out of 200 player minutes.

3. We shot almost 50% for the game.

4. We committed just 9 turnovers.

5. JP led us in rebouding with 4 boards in 12 minutes.

6. WL looked pretty good on the offensive end. He could be a 15ppg scorer in the Valley.

Just my thoughts... back to your regularly scheduled doom.

I thought the crowd was big and awesome.

The band was back and even gave us some Journey.

The cheerleaders have realized that there are endzones.

Tumblers were great.

Dodie had 0 turnovers, and went to the basket well.

JP may be smaller than Creekmore, but he had no trouble throwing a buttcheek into his side a few times.

Red Sea was active.

Good to see Walt back to form. JL said it best on the postgame, he has to let the game come to him.

That took more than a minute. Sorry.

I think there's plenty of reason to be mad at the entire season but I don't think yesterday's result shouldn't be a major part of it. I can find more pressing things to worry about than yesterday.

Thanks electricmayhem for the post! :D

Nothing wrong with looking for the silver lining. There are a few positive things about this year that we all need to appreciate.

AW is having a POY type of season. He will be playing somewhere at the next level.

We can all look back fondly one year and say we remember 2010-2011.

The cheerleaders look great!:D

ISU really sucks this year.:D

The young guys are getting a ton of playing time.

Only 13 months left before BU's 2011-12 MVC Championship Season concludes with an NCAA invite:!::!::!:
:D

OR

Only 15 months before BU tries a new coach:!::!:
;-);-)

If I am right Will only had one foul.

Will was leading the country in fouls per game prior to last night...

One more positive thing - I could watch the game on ESPNU from Chicago with a bowl of popcorn and the Bradleyfans.com chat room on my laptop!

I know it's probably old hat to most schools, but when you live outside the general geographic area of your alma mater, it's so nice just to be able to see them on TV, instead of bad streaming video.

I just needed a little positivity today...

Walt looked more savvy.
Dodie looked good and aggressive out there.
Les's hair looked great.
Good substitutions with JP/WE/AT

Red Sea, Students and Band pumped some much needed life back into the Arena. Great job...keep it up.

I was thinking the added "liveliness" was due to being on ESPNU - would be bad if we didn't put on a show for the nation. I'm sure we'll be back to ho-hum after the ISU-BU rivalry...at least for the rest of this season.
Now the positive - I DID enjoy reading this thread. Let's put together a solid game on Wednesday to have 2 consecutive good losses in a row. :D

it was nice to finally get some students at the game instead of the "Red Puddle" we had for the last few games. and sunday's game was not included in the season ticket package for students, so i think ISU and hopefully a few more games will have good student attendence.
