Bradley 68 Evansville 54 stats

Huge game from Dyricus again, he's really starting to come into his own, and at the perfect time of the year! I hate to go into "What ifs"..... But can you imagine this team playing the way they are right now with a healthy SM and TB. SM, DSE, AW, TB, JP, with WE and DD the first two off the bench. What could have been :(

Butts in seats was closer to 7500 I would guess.. Good scrappy game by the Braves.. DSE was good after slow start.. Very choppy game with officiating...

Good effort on boards....

I saw very few empty seats among the season ticket seats, so I think that estimate is a bit low. That was easily the best crowd other than the ISU game.

Congratulations to Dyricus Simms-Edwards. He is playing great. His 25 points were not only the game high tonight, it is a career high for DSE. He topped his previous career high of 22 points in the home win against Creighton on Feb. 1st.

His 8 rebounds tonight is also a career high!

Dyricus had a great game, and i was impressed that we played most of the 2nd half with out Drew and still won comfortably.

It was awesome getting to see Les clear the bench and even get Aaron a shot near the end.

Great effort tonight by the Braves. Like someone posted,DSE was huge. He really is coming into his own. Really nice to see. Jim has them playing like we all hoped they would all year. Wouldn't be surprised to see them amke some noise in St. Louis. Tues night could be a good indicator how far we've come. Let's put it to UNI. Go Braves

Speaking of TB, I noticed a Reynolds blog on Fri mentioned that TB has to wait a few more weeks to find out about his basketball future because he has to wait on his Dr. for an available appointment. :/

I sit in upper bowl- there were many empty seats... no way were there 10,000 plus there tonight.....

And just because most of the "season ticket" seats were filled doesn't mean that the 10,000 is legit...

Solid game by Bradley tonight. Always great to win the rebounding battle. It's nice to see that DSE is stepping up.

The game certainly turned when Colt Ryan picked up his second foul and came out.

Thoughts:

Hey PCC people, screen your freakin songs' lyrics before you play them. Not good to play a song which says the N word 2 dozen times. There are many kids in the building. Use your head.

More than 7500 people, but not 10K. 8500, maybe 9K. Good crowd. Lively.

Good games all around, Evansville FT% had to be low, airball% had to be high. We did a good job against a team that has been playing real well.

Officials were way too involved. Every possession was a whistle, and many time it was not the closest ref making the call. Didn't really think it helped one team more than the other.

Offense rebounding was huge. We went through a spell in the 2nd half where we really could have hit some daggers but never did, then we had that possession where we got about 4 O rebounds and DSE hits the three. That's where we broke them.

I cannot believe just how bad the refs were tonight. Worst officiated game I have seen in a long time.

Way too many offensive foul calls. A couple benefitted Bradley (thanks Jake Eastman), but I think nearly every one of them were really poor calls. IMO it is a sign of a weak ref when they fall for the backward flop by a defensive player virtually every time.

It's also bad that they have to review so many calls, just to confirm that the original call was right. And that most of the foul calls were LATE.

Tonight's officiating will win no prizes, but as far as worst officiated game, I don't think I'll see a worse one than this year's ISU game at home.

Did anyone see when....might have been Ned Cox or Lacey slid about 3 feet and they didn't call a travel...they called the block after the travel...

most fun i have ever had at a game in a long time....team is playing so well.

did anyone notice that there were 10 GUARDS on the floor for about 10 game time minutes? I have never seen that before.

I don't think it was 10 minutes, but for several mninutes late in the 2nd half Bradley had Warren, DSE, Walt Lemon, Jake, and Dodie on the floor at the same time that Evansville had Kenny Harris, Colt Ryan, Denver Holmes, Ned Cox, and Kavon Lacey on the floor. Harris is not really a guard, but he is only 6'5". But then Evansville took Harris out and replaced him with Lewis Jones (I think), and for a couple minutes there were 10 guards on the floor at the same time. Then AW got his 5th foul and Will Egolf replaced him.
