Ray Brown Last Night

Was anyone else kind of disappointed in Ray Brown's "intro routine" last night?

For those of you not there, they called Ray Brown's name. He turns and faces the crowd...and J.J. Tuaui. Upon facing J.J., Ray extends his arms out from his body. J.J. "frisks" him and they then salute each other.

Am I reading too much into this? I would think that if I were Ray Brown I wouldn't do anything to call any more attention to myself. He already has disappointed numerous Bradley fans by being caught smoking pot and then does this? I don't understand why he would poke fun at something that ends up costing him a year of eligibility. Or maybe it was just for fun.

Your thoughts?
 
I must admit I did not see what you refer to.
What I recall was that when the players' names were announced, they ran the length of the line of players already out on the court, and the slapped high or low fives.
When did the event you describe occur?
 
When they were announcing the players before the scrimmage started. He was the second or third one called, I believe. I could be wrong on when he was announced, but was definitely "frisked" and saluted.
 
I must have missed that.
I am not a fan of that kind of stuff, but can't comment because I didn't see it.
 
I saw it, too. Each player had some kind of routine as they were introduced. I though it was just a funny routine like they all tried to do. I didn't think it was meant to make fun of Ray's suspension. I have met Ray and there is not a nicer kid anywhere. I would hope all BU fans support him.
 
I support Ray, and it was bittersweet seeing him play well last night in the scrimmage. I saw what you are referring to Big Fan, and I agree that it was unnecessary. I didn't like it.

I also agree that Ray Brown is a real nice kid. That's why it burns me even more that he can't play this year.
