2018 & Beyond recruiting targets

After the first of 3 recruiting evaluation periods that went from July 12-16, there are several new 2018 kids that Bradley is recruiting. Some of these may have already received offers.
Here are a few names we have heard-

2018 Michael (Mikey) Wyckoff- a virtually unknown 5'11" good-shooting combo guard who broke onto the scene with a couple high scoring games this past weekend. He does not have any offers currently. He will play a post-grad year for Link Year Prep this fall, a small Christian prep school in Branson, MO. He previously played for Bishop Seabury Prep in Lawrence, Kansas.
He also plays for SSA Basketball in the summer leagues.

2018 Zion Griffin- 6'5" small forward from Hinsdale South HS in Darien, IL (Brian Wardle went to Hinsdale Central HS).
He already has several midmajor offers, but is starting to get a lot of recruiting iterest from major schools-

2018 Shaun Williams- a 6'3" point guard who plays for Hazelwood Central HS (just north of St. Louis) and for the St. Louis Eagles and the Bradley Beal Elite AAU teams out of St. Louis. He was voted to the Missouri Class 5 All State team (the largest class in Missouri HS basketball) last spring, and he had some good games at the Nike Peach Jam tournament this past weekend.

2018 juco Darrell Bowman- a 6'8", 260 pound power forward at Shawnee Community College in Ullin, Illinois. He played high school ball at Warren Central High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky (the same high school one-time Molinari/Bradley recruit Anthony Grundy attended).
Last year as a freshman at Shawnee CC he averaged 9.8 ppg and 6.2 rpg. He shot 57.4% from the field. His only offer currently is from new Mexico State.

Anthony Murphy- a 6'5" guard originally from Griffith, Indiana and now a sophomore at Florida Southwestern State College. He was just seen playing at the Mullens JC Top 100 camp in Wichita, July 21-23-

Bradley has been tracking Aristide Boya since last April or possibly even earlier...

I read that, too. It might give Bradley an advantage, since they the only Division I school to offer both of them so far.
However, Bradley only has 2 seniors next season (Donte Thomas & Jojo McGlaston), so they could have as few as 2 scholarships open for 2018 recruits. Would it be the right move to try to sign 2 of the same type of player? It might be, since the 2 players they are losing are very similar types of players.

2020 Caleb Love- A 6'3" wing guard who will only be a sophomore at Christian Brothers High School in St. Louis. There is very little written about him anywhere, but he is already getting attention from major and even some high major coaches. He also plays for the St. Louis Eagles AAU team.

2019 Terrence Hargrove, Jr.- a 6'6" forward at East St. Louis High School. He had a great summer and now there are a number of high-majors following him, including Kansas, where he just made an unofficial visit last week. He also just received an offer from Missouri today (7/31/17).

2018 Brian Halums- 6'5" 185 pound guard who will be a sophomore at Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Mississippi. Interestingly, the team's nickname is the Itawamba Indians. He is originally from Hollandale, Mississippi.
As a freshman, he averaged 17.3 ppg, 7.5 rpg, shot 55.1% overall, and 44.8% from three. He has played well at juco events this summer and has received several mid-major offers in the last couple weeks.

2018 Zach Naylor- he is an athletic 6'8" forward who will be a sophomore at Weatherford College, a junior college in Weatherford, Texas. He played high school ball at William B. Travis High School in Richmond, Texas (near Houston).
As a freshman at Weatherford, he averaged 20.0 ppg and 9.1 rpg. He shot 55.4% overall and 41.5% from three and he averaged over 4 3-point attempts per game (44-106).

That is an intriguing juco player. Would be exactly what the current roster needs. Looks to be the type of player that Jim Les had a ton of success with and the kind of player that has always done well in the valley. I would love getting naylor committed.
 
I agree. He appears to be a high-major caliber athlete and scorer, maybe on the level of a Marcellus Sommerville.
JL landed some pretty good juco players- Sommerville, Tony Bennett, Will Franklin, Zach Andrews, Lawrence Wright, Matt Salley, Theron Wilson, Dodie Dunson, Taylor Brown, & Chris Roberts.
