"Even though the NBA is changing its ball for the first time in more than 35 years, its players have already had plenty of exposure to it. Jackson said the ball was sent to all teams after the All-Star break, and every player had one sent to him over the summer."

Wow! Every player got a $100 ball. And who paid for that?

Whew - I am glad I don't go to NBA games and have to buy tickets and then have to buy the $10 popcorn and $8 bottle of water.

Now it appears the new NBA ball may have been rushed onto the scene somewhat reminiscent of the ridiculous slate of choices for the local museum.
David Stern is backpeddling fast and saying
"But if our players are unhappy with it, we have to analyze to the nth degree the cause of their unhappiness"

One of the few vocal opponents of the change back to the old leather ball is Kyle Korver. He is one of several players shooting over 50% from 3-point range so far this season. He likes the new bal, and does not like the fact that it is being changed in mid-season.
