MVC Nonconference record

Also and equally important as the RPI is, the Valley's
Strength of Schedule after these
recent games against tough opponents has risen to #3 among all conferences.

I am just sharing info from another site:

From JPalm's site at collegerpi.com, the MVC has the 8th best SOS. (you are most likely getting your info from realtimerpi.com)

I'm not saying one is right and the other is wrong. Just sharing the info. ;)

Is that through last night's results? Pomeroy is stating 5 after yesterday.

Pomeroy has the MVC fifth just a smidgen behind the Big East. By the way, what is the MVC's record vs. the Big East so far? :?

No way, if you mean the RPI according to Pomeroy, he has the MVC second well ahead of the Big East,
just check it out yourself.

Perhaps you meant the MWC which is rated 7th but is just behind the Big East?

Yes. Palm updates early morning each day. On his page for Conference Standings:

"Last updated Sun Dec 10 2006, 7:50 AM"

Don't look now, but RUTGERS has won THREE STRAIGHT!
(and in the process improved their RPI by nearly 100)
http://www.scarletknights.com/basketball-men/schedule/schedule.asp

In the meantime, the Valley goes to 62-18, 56-18 against D-I, good enough to remain #2 RPI among conferences.
The Valley is 42-1 in home games thus far.

I predict Rutgers wins 3 of their next 4.

Their schedule:

Dec 16 Iona
Dec 22 Lehigh
Dec 28 @ North Carolina
Dec 31 South Carolina St

MVC goes just 3-3 in non-conference games Saturday.
Valley is 65-21 overall against non-conference and 59-21 against D-I.
They are 44-1 at home.

MVC went 1-1 Sunday so the non-conference record now goes to
62-19, 56-19 vs DI, and 45-1 at home.

Latest update--as of Thursday's Indiana State game (with creighton's late game still pending)

The MVC after Tuesday night's games is now
73-23 in all non-conference games
and 65-23 in games against D-I,
with a 51-1 home record thus far.
