Allen Iverson trade possibilities

The hottest NBA rumor at the moment has the Philadelphia 76ers dealing with the Golden State Warriors to trade Allen Iverson. The names being publically thrown out do not yet include the Warrior's #1 draft pick from last June, Patrick O'Bryant. However, the Warrior's executives have conceded that next year's draft is perhaps the deepest ever for big men, so things could still change.

I find it interesting how different media outlets report the exact same story. Here are examples--
76ers in no rush to trade Allen Iverson:

'Half the League' Has Inquired About Iverson:

Sixers still unable to unload Iverson:

Some have wondered if Allen Iverson could end up in New York. The Knicks have never let money stop them from making terrible deals. And Isiah Thomas is desperate to win now, since he has been given an ultimatum to win or be fired. Iverson's league leading 31 ppg could be tempting to the Knicks. But the 76ers aren't eager to trade him to a division rival.--

I think your jumping the gun a bit putting POB name in this trade.

Just trying to draw some relevance to this story for us bored Bradley fans.

Don't you ever wonder if it might be better for Patrick to be with another team?

No I don't. POB is only a rookie and your going way to far just to try to get users to post. Do whatever you like, but don't make up things you have know idea what your talking about.

Nothing has been "made up".
I specifically stated that the leaked reports of the trade talks do not include any mention of Patrick. But every report refers to a "third unidentified player".

I didn't mean to offend.

I thought that's what bulleting boards like this were for. Shouldn't anyone be free to express their opinions? I think the mods do a good job of keeping unfair or negative stuff off, but I don't see anything wrong with any opinions I've seen here.

Here is one report that the Timberwolves may be interested in a deal for AI. And Troy Hudson appears to be likely to be involved in any deal.

I think it would be good for POB to get out of Golden State. Nelson has never liked developing young big men. And does anyone believe Nelson is there for the long run? No way. He wants to win ASAP.

CBSSportsline writer Tony Mejia just posted an article suggesting a few trade scenarios. And the one he thinks is most feasable is to the Warriors (see the bottom of the article). And he includes Patrick O'Bryant as a player the 76ers would likely seek.

Whats wrong with throwing POB's name out there :? ..just some bar room banter. Personally I think it would be great for him....I could see some increased PT in a weaker conference with a team that will be looking to the future.

There is nothing wrong with it. After so many years, we are all family here and everyone has their own little quirks. AV has always been a little territorial when in comes to POB. Me - I don't like KW (amendment - I don't like his writing as I have never been a fan of bad writing).

Here is a great quote:
Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics was asked about Iverson possibly being traded to Boston, and could Iverson and Pierce coexist? Pierce answered-
"I think it would work out with the two of us," said Pierce. "I played with the biggest jacker in league history in Antoine Walker, didn't I? He was just jacking up shots. At least Iverson might go hit them at a higher clip and get to the free throw line."

He's got that right. All of Dallas celebrated when Antoine Walker left the Mavs. The worst part about the Mavs losing in the finals last year to the Heat was that Anotoine Walker was on Miami's team. How any team could ever win a championship with Walker on this team is hard to comprehend - maybe Pat Riley is better caoch than we gave him credit for when he was coaching the Lakers.
