With the Buycks commit...

Can someone a little more in-tune with the recruiting trail set next year's tentative roster for me? Including the incoming freshman... I would much appreciate.

I'll start....

J. Fears/ jr. transfer (think he'll have two years maybe three)

D Williams/Juco

W. Egolf/Freshman

A. Thompson/freshman

D. Buycks/freshman

S. Maniscalco/freshman

R. Brown/eligible again jr.

Mike....if you want to know more go to the recruits page.

Is there any chance that DRuff is thinking about finishing school on time, which would (if I understand it right) get him the eligibility for his final season, but then not to return for that final season after graduation?

Here is the situation as I see it. Please correct me if I am mistaken--
Current roster--
*32 Adams, Danny G
*21 Andrews, Zach F
*2 Brown, Ray G
*14 Crouch, Jeremy G
*23 Fears, Jeremy G
*4 Franklin, Will G
*1 Jassey, Saihou F
50 Lavin, Brian G
5 Phillips, Ryan G
*20 Ruffin, Daniel G
*22 Salley, Matt F
*54 Singh, Sam F/C
*10 Tauai, J.J. G
*24 Warren, Andrew G

The players designated with a * are on scholarship. There are 12.
Daniel Ruffin will be back next year. I have never heard anything different.
Adams, Andrews, Franklin, and Tauai are seniors and will be gone next year.
So there were 5 available scholarships for next years recruiting class (the 4 seniors, plus the one not in use). Those are now committed to DeAaron Williams, Sam Maniscalco, Will Egolf, Anthony Thompson, and now Dwight Buycks.
So there are no more scholarships available, and any more recruits will mean that one of the above scholarships opens up due to a player leaving or a player who doesn't meet academic requirements or backs out of a committment.

I will add a few further descriptives..........(in BOLD)

It was once rare for Bradley to get even one recruit that was as highly rated as a 3-Star recruit, but BU's roster will have five of them next season, plus other fine players who border on the same quality.
BU basketball is in good hands.

Good, I'm glad no one's hearing anything about Ruffin... if you couldn't tell by my avatar he's my favorite Brave.

Right now I'd have to go with Will Franklin........he is a warrior and has really stepped it up this year.......just what you'd expect one of your senior player's to do!

GO BRAVES!

So the roster as it stands for next year right now looks something like this, right?

Guards:
Ruffin, Daniel (1) - Senior
Brown, Ray (2/3) - Junior
Crouch, Jeremy (2) - Senior
Fears, Jeremy (1/2) - Junior (he'll have 2 years right?)
Warren, Andrew (2... 3?) - Sophomore, can he play wing?
Williams, DeAaron (2/3) - Junior
Maniscalco, Sam (1/2) - Freshman
Buycks, Dwight (1/2) - Freshman
Lavin, Brian (1) Junior walk-on
Phillips, Ryan (2?) Sophomore walk-on

Forwards:
Jassey, Saihou - Sophomore
Salley, Matt - Senior
Egolf, Will - Freshman

Centers:
Singh, Sam - Junior
Thompson, Anthony - Freshman

Feels like a nasty logjam at that combo guard type position.

I see a ton of athletic basketball players. I would move Brown and Williams though to the forward position. There will be a ton of competition and a very deep team.

I agree...I don't think you'll see much of RB or DW at the 2.

A impact big guy is a MUST IMO......especially if we make the NCAA and want to go somewhere again.

08' Team

08' Team

Unfortunately, Egolf, at 6'9', will have to move to center.
He will have to do so because, Thompson is at least 2 years and 50lbs. away and Sam Singh's knees will NEVER hold up for more than 15 minutes a game.
That is why, as dog says, we really need to sign a Big for 08'.

Man, we really do have a logjam at the guard spots. Considering you can pencil in Ruffin and Crouch for major minutes, I don't know if you can find enough minutes for all of those incoming guys.
