Final score: Bradley 74 ISU 71 in overtime

Bradley wins in overtime, 74-71!
http://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=281407

Amazing that Bradley hung in and made a couple huge comebacks despite almost everyone playing poorly most of the game.
Despite Elijah Childs fouling out with only 4 points and 4 rebounds and a terrible foul on Zach Copeland on a low-percentage fall-away three pointer at the end of regulation to allow ISU to tie the game, Ja'Shon Henry scored all 7 of Bradley's points in overtime to carry the team to the win.

Nate played well, and lead BU with 19 points. Darrel Brown recovered from a poor first half to end with 17 points and 7 assists, and he played 43 minutes.
Koch Bar had 10 points, 8 rebounds. Ville Tahvanainen really helped Bradley to stay in the game with 8 points.
Bradley overcame 35% FG% and 23% on threes, plus overcame 2 technical fouls. They outrebounded ISU 47-42, and had only 9 turnovers. And Bradley forced 19 ISU turnovers and had 25 points off turnovers to 5 for ISU.

Bradley is 20-10 now, and 11-6 in the MVC.

Yikes that was a rough win. But as they say, a win is a win. Also did it seem like that ref was out to get kennal at the end of regulation with that technical and then seeing his foot shuffle.

I’m in Normal! Got my gondola at Avanti’s and a killer parking spot thanks to Da Coach. Heading in for a Bradley W!

Way to bring us home a win guys!!! Sorry I couldn't be with you, but I a not sure I would have survived the stress & drama. :)

Wow, Henry did all that in OT with 4 fouls, he better be Player of the Game because without his effort the Braves come home with a loss! ;)

Man, was that ugly. I’m heading back to Naperville a happy man, though. Good thing that the Redbirds don’t shoot like Valpo, we would have been done early. Childs was really frustrated in the first half.

Talk about gutting out a win! Looked like Copeland tried to flop on the last 3 pointer in overtime and as always it feels good to pull out a win at their place. With a win on Saturday we finish in a tie for second! I think we see the biggest crowd of the year too.

The good news is Indiana State beats SIU 77-68!

Actually, I think that hurts us. If SIU and Bradley both won out, we’d have been the two seed. We now need to jump up 9 spots in NET rankings to pass Loyola for the two seed. I don’t think with how we looked tonight that we’ll jump up that much.

Not too often you go on the road and shoot 35% from the field, 5-22 from 3, have arguably your best player go 2-11, score 4 points and get 4 boards and foul out and get 2 player Technical fouls plus the home team makes 25-30 FT's and win the game. I've said it all year how this team is so resilient and plays with so much heart and desire especially at the ends of games that are close. JaShon ended up with 11 points and 10 rebounds and we wouldn't have won in OT without him. This would qualify as snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. Way to go guys! YOU GOT ER DONE!

As everyone before this entry shared - " THAT WAS A TOTALLY UGLY WIN ".... ISU played their hearts out.
And as others also shared - we seem to have taken a few steps back with our game - so many were not sharp..... Thank you JaShon....

Can someone share what upset Nate and caused him to flare up - and what exactly did Nate say to be given a " T " ? I don't recall Nate doing anything like that his whole career.

Here are the final seeding probabilities with 1 game remaining. Bradley most like will be the #3 seed, however, in the case of a 2-way or 3-way tie involving BU and Indiana State, there is a small chance Indiana State's NET could move ahead of Bradley's NET and take the #3 seed.

Nate has had a tendency to talk some smack, especially this season, like a lot of players do and wanted to let Copeland, who, according to some ISU friends of mine, is not shy with his opinions, know what he thought of that made 3. Unfortunately he did it right in front of the ref and it's considered taunting your opponent whichmost refs will whistle the T

Nate has just hit a big 3 and was called for taunting. Someone closer to the action will have to report what he said, or whether he directed it toward the opponent.

I wanted this game more than any other this season, and we got it.
I think it was much needed for our guys to remind them we can win away from Carver, where we often look like a very different (and better) team.
Of course now I want to win our final home game more than any game. :)

Let's get to 12-6, a mark we haven't reached since the 2000-01 season!

Thank you BigJimmy and Dub - being clear out here in Colorado I can only see what is shown on TV - it is not like being at Carver and watching the entire scene and player behavior that the cameras do not cover. I had no idea of Nate's tendency to talk some smack. Well that goes on every where - from grade school through the NBA. I'm thrilled that Nate and Bradley are not intimidated and can also dish it out.

GO BRAVES !!!

I noticed on tv last night that a lot of ISU students were wearing the BUCK FRADLEY shirts. This was in poor taste 20 years ago when I was in school and still is. You can find better ways to support your team than this.

Actually according to the NET rankings today InSU overtook us with their win last night. So if we lose and InSU wins we would be there 4 seed. So SIU losing last night was probably the worst outcome for Bradley seeding chances.
