Final score: St. Bonaventure 69 Bradley 63

amazing - they have screwed up this stream worse than the BU stat keepers screw up the stats for our guys.

there were reportrs, unconfirmed a member of the St Bonaventure staff that was berating refs just before halftime
and was ejected from the arena - but he fought with officials, had to be handcuffed and then
escorted by police out of the arena -
was this all some kind of joke?

Bradley made a terrific comeback in the 2nd half, and had a couple leads, but some good three point shooting by St. Bonaventure guard Darryl Simmons put them back in the lead. Bradley had a chance to tie inside 10 seconds, but a turnover ended their chances.

Rebounding advantage for St. Bonaventure- 44-29
Bradley's three point shooting was poor, 6 for 22. Nice games by Jaquan Johnson, Demarion Burch, and Alex Huibregtse, each had 13 points.
Nobody had more than 4 rebounds for Bradley. AJ Smith (1-7, 0-3 from three) and Timo (0-5, 0-4 from three) had rough games offensively for BU.

Well, lack of inside play and rebounding cost us...what is upsetting is we knew this over the offseason, and didn't address it...AJ Smith is not an inside player who will control the boards at this level IMO

A 15-rebound deficit to that team is extremely concerning.

We looked like a middle pack MVC team. Definitely don't have an identity yet. The defense was mostly good despite the horrific rebounding.
Pretty nice offensive flow and ball-handling for this early in the season.

I think Burch is headed for a solid season, and our PG combo is pretty strong.
Obviously room to improve for AJ and Timo, who will be big off the bench if we're to contend in the Valley.

If the Braves didn't allow so many 2nd chance points in the last 8 min. the outcome would have been different. I HATE that the one area that cost us the Valley title was problematic in Game 1 after a long offseason. JUMP! CRASH! REBOUND!!!

Though we missed a BUNCH of 3s, it appears we have some good (enough) perimeter shooters: O-Show and Alex should be between 40-45% and will be our most reliable.
Wheeler, Ja'Quan and Corey will make their share. Timo needs to just make 1 and I think he'll get going.

Can't go 6-22 and expect to win...well, unless you win the rebounding (Lost badly) & turnover (Won this) battles
