BU 76 INS 59

Geez...that was a rout. I'm just so impressed by this team's toughness. I was a little worried when we lost our rhythm early in the second half with all that crazy foul, technical foul, foul business.

However, our team recovered and played right through it. Our RPI has got to shoot right up considering this is a road win against a team that has strongly defended its home court.

Thanks Mike! Saw the post over on the ESPN board. Didn't even know this place existed before today.

Happy to be here!

Shaunguth-- tell all your friends, this is the place to be!!

HUGE game and tremendous coaching job by Jim Les.

I received in-game minute to minute updates from Da Coach who described JL's coaching moves...
everything from working the refs to switching the defenses, and
working the clock.

First Valley team and the first team of any kind to go in to Terre haute and WIN.

Huge game for Daniel Ruffin and similarly HUGE game for Will Franklin.

Bradley had to overcome some horrible foul calls that seemed aimed at trying to keep the Sycs in the game.
also the "T" was when the refs made a horrible call and they covered their a**es by calling a technical on Jim Les.

*********BREAKING NEWS

Guess who was sitting right behind the Bradley bench??
Sitting right with Andrew Warren's family was Eric Gordon!!

Can JL steal EJ away from Kelvin Sampson??

Is this the start of Bradley dominating the recruiting scene in Indiana.

Did our freshman step up and have a fine game, or what???

This was a great, great game.

I really enjoyed watching it, and overcoming the horrific attempts by the guys in stripes to control it.
Nice job Bradley......keep it up.

TWO big road wins, and I'll bet I know a few supposed Bradley fans who will be conspicuously absent and take another of their sabbaticals after this one!!

uhhh, reading a lil to much into EJ Gordon being there i think, but i wouldnt mind dominating the recruiting scene in Ill and Indiana and Minnesota and . . .

Just went to the other board....dead....nobody even discussing the BU game....(except Mike Radigan.....he's everywhere!)
Does anyone else think that's pretty weird??

Anyway.........I can't even get my pulse down under 100 after this great road effort.
Will Franklin will go down as one of the best clutch players BU ever had. Last game the leaning jumper off the glass with 0.5, this game numerous dagger, including the one at the shot clock and he was fouled!
Will-- We love ya!!

BU's RPI jumps to 26, and SOS up to 7.

Here is the full Valley RPI

Now------got to win at Creighton (Thursday)!! Then a couple home games.

Tremendous win by BU. And to think, we turned the Trees into sawdust on their home floor! Gee, 2 road wins against Blue & White teams--be afraid Creighton, be very afraid! (j/k)

A road win vs. Creighton, and we a firmly in the mix for the conference crown and an NCAA bid.

Very true, but tough roadies are left with SIU and MSU, not to mention the "records-don't-mean-much" series with ILSU. We've got 11 conference games, plus the Bracket Buster before we get to Arch Madness. Finishing 6-6 prior to St. Louis spells bubble trouble for us, and we have 6 home and 6 away contests looming. I'd like to think we can take 2 or 3 more on the road. Assuming we begin a new home streak and close out solidly at Carver, 20-11 or 21-11 should be good enough (but MSU thought the same thing last year).

Great win for BU...these guys are amazing. How can a team lose SO much and yet remain so tough without their leading scorer.

LONG season to go but these guys just continue to impress.

I think the SIU win and good play from ZA really boosted hjis confidence. How big would a CU win be.

Either way I say we welcome these guys home Saturday with a sell out.

Stats that stand out-

Rebounds--
Bradley 37 rebounds
Indiana St. 25 rebounds

Shooting percentages--
Bradley-
55.1% overall
55% from 3-point

Indiana State-
32.7% overall
19.2% from 3-point

Indiana State's top 3 scorers on the season--
Gabe Moore- 3-11 and 1-7 from 3-point
Marico Stinson- 2-8 overall and 2-5 from 3-point (both of his baskets came in the final minute when Bradley was up by 20 points)
Cole Holmstrom- 3-12 overall and 1-8 from 3-point

Bradley prepared extensively for these 3 scorers, and the game plan was executed to near perfection. They had trouble betting open looks, and settled for poor shots. Bradley's defense was great all night, and frustrated the Sycamore guards. Indiana State was a Top 35 RPI team, which Bradley completely dismantled down the stretch on the road.
I continue to be impressed with how far they've come.

Every BU player who saw action played extremely well. All 5 starters were great, and Adams and Warren played fantastic defense and contributed 10 and 7 off the bench.

Indiana State had been 9-0 at home so far this year before they met Bradley. They had wins over Butler, Purdue, Drake, Creighton, Wichita State, among others. And they had a 6 game overall winning streak, the longest in the MVC.
