2026 Portal transfers

add another.....from ISU

Illinois State's Freshman Ty'Reek Coleman enters the portal.
He started more than half their games, was 3rd leading scorer at 10 ppg, 42% 3-pt shooter
so ISU loses 4 of their top 6 players and 7 of their top 10.
And there's still almost 2 weeks left for Kinzinger or Chase Walker to enter the portal

I would expect Walker to leave just because he will be looking at his final season and can get more money and a better chance at playing in the NCAA Tour. Kinsinger did not have a great season so his options more then likely went down. His size does not help him either as far as getting on a bigger team.
Again money has ruined college sports period.

I was at the ISU Auburn game at Hinkle.. he looked like the only player on ISU that belonged athletically on the court with Auburn.
Prob could use another year to get better before making the leap but these kids have no patience.. might get buried at the end of a bench with no chance to get better

Former G league and Baylor 7 foot specimen James Nnaji is in the portal….which is a joke in itself but….

Didn’t do well in the G league or at a P5..
Maybe would like to try his luck at a mid major that needs a center?.., lots of playing time available!

lol he’s a physical monster .. I’d bet he’d do very well in the MVC despite his low production at the other places

… Colby Duggan back in portal… did we ever get serious with him last year? Seems like I recall BU talking to him

Last sentence: True dat.

former SIU Kennard Davis is in the portal again....
he was a stud at SIU as a sophomore, 16.3ppg, 5 rpg, 38% 3-pt shooting - then went to BYU...
and his numbers fall way off.....and he was very inconsistent.... now he's looking for somewhere else to play...
gotta wonder if he was told he'd have to take a pay cut for 2026-27

former Green Bay guard Anthony Roy is in the portal again looking for his 7th team in 6 years... (San Francisco, then juco, then New Mexico State, then Langston-NAIA, then Green Bay, and in 2025-26 Oklahoma State)

Oregon (and formerly Creighton) head coach Dana Altman making excuses and wanting people to feel sorry for him because he had a bad year and is losing several of his key players to the transfer portal. Oregon finished 12-20 this season, and 5-15 in the Big Ten, good for a tie for 15th place.

The two ISU players who have entered the portal (Ty Pence and Tyreek Coleman) must have the same NIL agent writing their heartfelt messages to the Redbird fans. Their messages are virtually word-for-word identical-

proof as always that no matter how good of a coach you are, if you don't get (or buy) the best players, you still lose and look terrible

Hey guys,

I put together a two parter in terms of where the teams in the Valley are right now - sort of the pulse of it all.

For better or worse, I think that the BU fanbase, at least on this board, is probably one of the most negative right now. I can understand it because it's similar to what happened at SIU of the combination of key players leaving and graduations, there's not a ton to be optimistic about other than growth from the young guys and some potentially really good three new guys.

I do wonder if people would be less mad in general if we were Valpo/UIC who retained a ton of key guys or even like Indiana State, who after a really frustrating season, fans there seem excited to clean house and start from scratch with a new roster. Bradley's caught in the middle a bit.

I do also wonder if we do land someone really good in the portal if the outlook gets a little rosier.

Anyway, I do think that recapping where teams are right now is important and really difficult to follow unless you're on it constantly. Enjoy!

Trying to keep a positive outlook - after losing 2 very solid PGs, maybe we run different offensive schemes to not have everything run through the top, where it tended to be stagnant. Would love if we could get our 2 transfer FWs avg. double figs in scoring. Absolutely need to get 1 or 2 three-point snipers b/c teams without outside shooting will only have limited success in this day and age. SIU would have gotten to 20 wins last season if they were not so horrid in their perimeter shooting. Surely would have taken 1 game from BU last year.

Just need a couple good point guards, whether from D1, D2 or juco, who can run the offense and shoot the three efficiently (⪆38%). They are out there, and the coaches just need to identify the ones they want and land them.

The Top 50 portal transfers from ESPN's Jeff Borzello. Jaquan Johnson is #50, and the only other MVC player is Tyler Lundblade at #42.
As expected, nearly all of them are from Power Conferences, many of them reserves who are looking for more money or more playing time elsewhere. Only 7 are from mid-majors.

In defense of the Bradley fanbase they have received nothing but negative news in the last couple weeks. Natural to be down. Once they receive some positive good news the mood will change. That shows a passion for the program. Which I would want to have rather than a fanbase that didnt care

Agreed. It also doesn't help that BU was essentially "middle of the pack" this year. Not bad, but not great either. If we had been bad, yes, it would be more positive because a new roster can only be the same or better etc. But being below the top but still relatively good and seeing good players leave is a bit demoralizing, at least until new players are added to the roster.
