Rumor out of DeKalb

Many faithful are growing weary of waiting for Rob Judson to turn things around at NIU.
After a decent 17-11 year last year, everyone seemed poised for an even better year this season.
NIU was promising and some had them picked to at least be in the upper half of the league,
but they are a dismal 4-13, in the throes of a stretch where they've lost 13 of their last 14 games, and 1-4 in the MAC, RPI 308.
Rumblings of this being Jud's last year, with some wanting to try to lure Jim Molinari into a return.
Could it happen?
Would Mo want to come in to succeed his good friend Rob Judson?

I am surprised at how much NIU has struggled with him as their coach.

They have a beautiful new Arena also that should help recruiting. I always thought they should be better. Wasn't he always considered a good recruiter?

Who told you that? I know some NIU people have hard feelings about Molinari leaving them after two short seasons for BU. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it and might end up getting Huskie season tix if they did, but from what I've gathered it's doubtful.

NIU has a home game tonight against Akron, but I'm driving down I-39 from DeKalb to Peoria for the WAR ON 74 :D

Good choice. :)

Mikovio, I'll be in Sec 1, Row CCC (3 rows from floor) and seats 1-4.
Stop and say hi!
(ps- any Redbird fan reading this, you're welcome to stop and say hi, too, just to get down from the nosebleed section!)

You would get NIU season tickets just to watch Jim Molinari coach? I am a huge Coach Mo backer and was upset when he got fired, but it was hard to watch some of the games when he was at BU coaching my favorite team. He doesn't have a very exciting system. I sure as h*ll wouldn't pay to go watch him coach a team that I don't like.
