Wow, he can play. I just remember last year the other players at the academy were too good and he did not see any action. Then this year it has been the same story. Makes me wonder...

He has been playing every game, and starting most games.

In Junior College, there is a strong tendency for coaches to stick mostly with the 2nd year guys. They are obviously stronger and more experienced. One other reason is to try to get them placed at 4-year schools. The more Div I guys a juco produces, it draws better recruits. So even Zach and Boogie didn't play a lot their freshmen years. Coach Cornelius really likes the skills of Xavier. But he is still a little foul prone and needs to get stronger. He will play and develop a lot over then next year and a half, and be a big asset to Bradley for 2 years.

This may have been discussed earlier, but as I understand it, Bradley and X. Crawford Have no binding obligations to one another. Other colleges can recruit him if they wish, right? If he has a big year next year, what are our chances of losing him?

There is a chance, but I think it's slim. We took care of Xavier by setting him up at Yuba. I expect that part of the arrangement is an unwritten agreement that he'll return to BU, should we want him. I am guessing that we do want him, and all indicators is that he'll be a Brave in '08-'09.

Xavier also went to high school in Richfield, Minnesota and was a teammate through his junior year of Ray Brown, so I think Xavier will want to come and play with his buddy Ray.

Why would we have not set Xavier up in our own back yard? Would it have not made it much more convenient to monitor his progress, being so close to home? Plus DeAron Williams is in fold and that in my opinion would be a tremendous advantage of learning and developing with a future teammate.

DeAaron Williams would have been better off playing at a higher level (high Div I juco) than ICC, but he wanted to come back home. Xavier is not from this area, so a place like Yuba makes a lot of sense for him, since he needed to play against top juco competetion. No offense toward Tony Wy, but just how many Div I players has he produced in all his years at ICC?
