Did Jamar Smith Get Demoted?

Again Jamar had a very bad night last night against Indiana.
He was only 1-6, making his shooting over the last six games 2-30.
McBride was only 3-8 from 3-point but on a night when everyone shot poorly, that was good enough to help win the game.
By the way, ex-BU guy Lance Stemler only made 2 baskets, and was 1-4 from 3-point as his shooting slump also continues.

Here is a whopper of a statistic.....
Lance Stemler is basically labelled an outside threat, right?
His whole purpose is to give them some outside/3-point scoring punch?

Lance Stemlers lifetime Div 1 3-point shooting percentage:
24.9%

His lifetime overall D1 shooting pct. is 31.6%.

His other lifetime stats:
3.0 rpg, 0.7 apg, 0.5 spg, 0.2 bpg, 5.4 ppg.

Just a comparison between the 3-point shooting of BU and that of the Illini.
If Jamar was on BU with his present 3-pt shooting pct, he'd be just ahead of Saihou Jassey!

For Tornado

Tornado, this is like comparing apples and lemons. We all know the Big-10 is far superior to The Valley

One of the reasons the MVC has done so well compared to past years when compared to the big conferences, is they have a tendency to recruit "athletes" and many of the mid-majors recruit kids who can shoot.
The big, bruising athletes can win games over the long haul, but the shooters can help sometimes, too.

Example...Ben Jacobson, Nate Funk, Jeremy Crouch, Kyle Korver, how many of these guys would have ever gotten a look from the Big Ten?

Updated stats for Jamar.
Jamar hit 3 of 7 3-pt attempts against Minnesota.
In Big Ten Conference games this season Here are the shooting stats for the Illini.

Jamar's 3-point shooting pct. has climbed back to .151 (8 for 53), and the Illini's team 3-pt shooting is at .277.

Illinois won last night against a weak Northwestern team, and Illinois as a team actually shot pretty well.
McBride was 5-11 from 3-point range.
Frazier was 2-2 and as a team Illinois shot 41% from the arc.

The bad news, Jamar Smith was given a chance to come in with less pressure, Illinois was winning somewhat easily, and still Jamar was 0-3 with three really well selected shots.
He was 1-6 overall.
The other kid from the Peoria pipeline, Brian Randle is also struggling.
Is this going to cause Bruce Weber to shut down the Peoria Pipeline?
