How about the foul...

actually helped them- will made it

Agreed 100%. Evansville would have had NO chance had the foul not been called. Evansville was lucky it was on the floor, or it would have been a potential 3-point play.

This is a game BU loses in the past. It's nice to finally have the savvy and moxie to win these games instead of lose them. Ohhh does it feel good!

Yes it does....huuuuuge statement about this program and where we are headed.

I know how you feel Dog. Sitting on the porch listening to the game was nerve racking. Too many fouls, missed free throws.

Postgame: My brother called and asked me how I was feeling during the game...

I said I did a time-check/gut-check about the 4:40 mark and said to myself... this is a game we will close out, we will do it down the stretch.

(years ago, under another regime, I woulda turned the tv/radio off because I already knew how it was gonna end)

They can 't complain too much as they lived at the freethrow line tonight; also Will did make the shot so what:s the problem; they lost and would not have been close except for some bad officiating .

I have been saying this for the last couple years. While there were people bashing Jim Les, I could see the confidence building in his players and the winning attitude developing. It doesn't happen overnght, but it is now paying off. This team probably has les talent than the past 2 or 3 years, but they are extremely well coached, unselfish, and do what they need to do to win. It is a pleasure to watch them.

Get your tickets now for the Bradley postseason banquet, it will sell out early (it's at the BU student center again). Call 677-2667 for tickets.

Last year they moved it to the Civic Center due to the tremendous response. Lets make them do that again. I highly recommend going, it's a great event.

Sorry everyone, that banquet could be awesome, but nothing is as great is having to sprint back to Peoria to welcome home the team at the airport after beating Kansas (god that felt good) and Pitt, and then going to listen to the team talk at Robertson. No Banquet can top that.

"No - no... You're right."

(that's my Coach Les impersonation ;) )

I feel bad for the UE fans that the game was decided on a whistle with only about a second left, but then this is exactly the stuff that had been getting whistled all night long FOR the Aces.

Of the 28 free throws the Aces shot, 20 of them were by Strickland and Webster on calls that were for the most part pretty good defense by Matt, Zach, and Sam, yet the refs were calling them every time.
You got to give Webster credit, he sure has a keen knowledge of how to get the ref to make a call. But then give Will Franklin the same credit as he knows how to get the call, too!
