In the final analysis, this is the end result of his unethical actions of "recruiting" Danny Granger.
In other words....payback is a bit*ch, isn't it...
All those who defended McKay and who supported his actions of luring highly touted, disgruntled players from other schools, found that it caused tremendous internal friction in the Lobos' program, and also made New Mexico a terrible destination for high school recruits who saw they would always be losing playing time to transfers and walk-ons.
They have sealed their own fate and now pay the price.
They wanted it, now they have it... a program that is BAD and going down from there, so they blame it all on Ritchie and fire him.
I think it firms up my belief that cheating doesn't pay (most of the time), and now both McKay and Broussard will find it hard to ever get back into D-I coaching after accumulating so much baggage in their resumes.
Maybe if all the players bolt, it would be only fair for Bradley to end up with one of their best young prospect........naw...never mind, as they have no good young prospects.
