A quick look at the Drake/Evansville stats...
Drake's freshman Josh Young for 23 pts on 6-11 (5 3-pointers) and 6-6 from the line,
Matt Webster got away with murder crahsing into the defense and going to the FT line 18 times, am I glad we won't ever have to see him again, especially the way the refs let him get away with his Shaq-like moves.
Ajay Calvin almost disappeared, only 2 rebounds but Nick Grant had some nice steals and baskets.

Attendance was listed at 8013! I wonder if that just reflects the number of All-Session tickets sold or were there that many people there? Anyone go to the game? If that is the real attendance, it is about double the usual play-in attendance.

I wish I could have seen the game, it sounded exciting.
Eldridge had a good game with 18 points, but Dyer didn't do much.
And lately when Dyer doesn't score, there's just nobody else on the Redbirds that's been stepping up.
Boo had a pretty bad game - 1 assist, 3 TO, 8 pts.
In the end, the Sycs made the key 3-pointers when they needed to and Illinois State missed the key shots in the final 2 minutes.
They must have the word censor turned off over on the ISU board, and a few ISU fans are a bid livid.
They are calling for Porter to be fired now, but I just don't think it's going to happen.
On the other board, there's not a single thread nor even a single post about the game even 7 hours later.
So just how good can ISU be next year with their only real post presence gone? Can they utilize all those guards, will PM study and play Jim Les' offense?
